Description: Thai Rak Thai restaurant was opened in 2006. It is located on Adams Avenue, downtown of Scranton. The restaurant is made up of two dining rooms which serve approximately 120 customers. The interior is decorated with some unique artworks from Thailand. As you dine in, the Asian style interior design, foods and Thai music will give you a warm and comfortable atmosphere, perfect for chatters, family gathering, and even business meals. We serve original and fusion Thai foods which include vegetarian, vegan, seafood, poultry and meat, choice of noodles and rice, which are seasoned with Thai spice and herbs. For beverages, we offer drinks that are originally served in Thailand such as Thai tea, coffee, coconut juice, etc. Besides, our restaurant is BYOB which allows customers to bring their own choice of alcohol beverages without extra charge for opening the bottle and chilling. We also reserve tables for customers who plan to have celebration on special occasions. Nonetheless, we have our special way of dedicating birthday songs which will definitely give you a surprise! We would like to thank all customers who given us the chance to serve you. We will maintain the quality of food and provide our best service to all customers. We will not stop improving in order to deliver what is best for you. We hope that all of you will return to the restaurant in the future and give us the chance to serve you again.

Food was excellent, very quick and full of flavor. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. The service is fantastic, quick seating and attentive waiters. Dessert was yummy!

Very yummy entrees. Service is good. If someone is birthday, their employees will celebrate to you, they turn off the light and sing a birthday song and give you a cake. Also BYOB.

“A Pleasant Surprise”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

Went to the Thai Rak Thai Restaurant over Thanksgiving weekend with a friend who is in Thailand at least 2-3 times a year. So when he said the food was authentic, then he has a basis for that opinion. Small, a little cramped. Very popular. Good service. Convenient to the University of Scranton - just off Mulberry Street.

“Good Pad Thai and Curry”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

My step daughter attends Marywood in Scranton, and her friends had been telling her how good the food is. So when we asked her where she wanted to go for her birthday, she of course chose Thai Rak Thai.We went on a Sat. afternoon around 3, and there was only one other table in the restaurant since it was off hours. There were 5 of us. 3 of us ordered vegetarian pad thai with tofu, and the other 2 ordered the green curry with chicken. I'm a fan of really spicy food, so I ordered my pad thai 5 star spicy. I could have used a little more spice, but I guess they figured 5 star was way too spicy for most. Everyone else ordered their food just lightly spicy, and they were all pleased. We also ordered veggie spring rolls as an appetizer, and they were very tasty. All in all, we all enjoyed our meals , and we'll definitely eat there again. After reading LoveDogz review, our only regret is not telling our server that we had a birthday in our group. Would of liked to see their different and unexpected celebration.

“GREAT food and BYOB ...”
Reviewed October 4, 2012

The food is great ... the service is excellent! If you have a birthday celebration, it's the best! Surprise your guest and don't tell them about the birthday celebration ... it's so different and unexpected!
