“Good walk, hard to get there.”
Reviewed July 30, 2012

This is a nice place to walk. It is about a 3.5 mile loop around Lake Scranton. No swimming or "touching the water." It is hard to find the parking lot or location, because there are a lot of "Private Property" and "No Trespassing" signs. This is owned by the PA Water company. The walk itself was great and was paved (good for strollers). It was average because you could see the lake through a thicket of trees. It was not exactly lakeside, but still a nice walk.

“A manageable tree-lined jogging path”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

This paved tree-lined jogging or walking path around the local water reservoir presents some nice views including a long aqueduct. It can be a little crowded at times but the restriction of bicycles, roller blades and other motorized devices keeps things moving and safe. Two things to be aware of: (1) given the lake in the middle no short-cuts exist meaning that once you are a mile and a half into the path, there's no easy way back to your car and (2) there are no restrooms (enough said there). In short, not much of a tourist attraction but good for daily jogging.

“Great for walking and jogging without getting lost”
Reviewed July 28, 2012

There is no through traffic of bikes and cars. One does have to stay on the paths for safety reasons which are 90% in great condition. It takes about one hour to walk fast around the lake. Because of a mixture of trees, There are areas with more sun and others with more shade. There is even a rest area for the handicapped. A lot of students from the University of Scranton walk or rund there daily but there are also plenty of seniors who take there daily healthwalk therer.
MISSING is a place to go to the bathroom.
If you like squirrels, deer or chipmonks, chances are good that you will see them especially the squirrels.
There could be a few more benches to rest but then again there are lots of inviting rocks to sit on.

“Lake Scranton”
Reviewed July 19, 2012

This is a paved path that goes around the lake for approximately 3.25 miles. There are some small hills, twists and turns. It is very pretty - some wildlife sightings. Great for walking and jogging.

“Love the view!”
Reviewed July 16, 2012 via mobile

It's a little long but it's totally worth it! Beautiful sights of the lake and dam. I walked the whole lake with my 5 year old and he loved the sights as well! We brought a hoagie and stopped halfway near the water and picnic site and spent time together it was great!
