As part of a family trip to NYC, which included a 10-hour drive, we picked the Days Inn as a convenient place to stop along the way.
We picked the hotel because of its price--relatively affordable for what you get--and the fact it had a pool--a prerequisite when you have a 9 and 13 year old girl in the car with you.
We did not make a reservation and stopped there by chance. The staff was friendly and check-in went smoothly.
The room was large and felt dated, especially the bathroom, but overlooked a valley, so the view was outstanding.
The TV offered not a single clear station, something I usually don't complain about, but after 8+ hours on the road, I would've liked to kick back to enjoy a show.
I didn't swim but the girls enjoyed the small pool and blew off some steam from being crammed in a car all day.
Continental breakfast was included. Nothing exciting on the menu, your typical hotel bagels and coffee and cereal--enough to fuel your morning.
Average, affordable hotel in a city with plenty of other options available.
