Sheraton Springfield at Monarch Place

Because there really aren't any nice safe decent places to stay in Springfield, I would say the Sheraton is just a nice hotel. Negatives- No free wi fi. Wi fi was $8.95 a day. However, there is a business center. Parking in the garage was $9.95 a day. No breakfast place to eat at in the hotel except for room service. Exercise room was actually very nice however you have to share it with people who pay to use this fitness center. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. Racquetball court for $6.95 for 30minutes to rent equiptment. There was this music that played over the PA system ALL NIGHT LONG and you could hear it softly creep into our room. I would wake you hearing something and realize it was the music. The bed was king size, comfy. There was a single cup coffee maker with starbucks packs. No microwave no fridge combo. The hotel itself is clean ,nice and fairly new. They were actually in renovation during our stay. The Sheraton is close to interstates and all places near Springfield.

Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel.I was confused that you did not know we offer breakfast daily in Peter's grille , as well as room service . WiFi is charged to all guests unless they upgrade to a club floor , a brand requirement.

We also have refrigerators available upon request. We do have the link by Sheraton available at no charge to all guests providing wireless connectivity. Thank you again for choosing The Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place Hotel.

I think the title says it all. This is my honest first, what I consider 5-star, hotel. The room was awesome, bed was huge and very comfortable. Starbucks coffee in the room and spring water. Everything was A+ on my list!

This is a nice clean hotel. The public areas are large, but comfortable. The staff were helpful and courteous.
The only negative was the banquet staff. Very unprofessional. They seemed to forget who was the customer and who was serving who. A diner at our table was still eating his salad, but had rested his fork on the plate. The server picked up the plate, shook off the salad on the fork, and replaced the fork on the table.
So DO NOT have any party of importance there !

First of all I did get my rate off of Priceline it was like $200.00 for 2 nights but the place is shoddy and rundown =(

From the railings to the actual rooms itself and outdated. It was very close to the freeway so easy access to any destination. The area of Springfield is not a nice one don't venture to far off the beaten path. Room Service was close and done by 11:00pm not impressed at all with the food but the Room Service waiter was very friendly and courteous... in fact the staff was very nice just unfortunate that the property is rundown.

I just got back from this hotel on the way to Vermont. The lobby was nice, and the atrium (like you look up and you can see the doors to all of the rooms) is really cool because they keep it dark and use some lights that change color its neat. Our room was clean but smelled like soap in the beginning (it was soap though so it wasn't a big deal lol). Our room was on the fifth floor (but it is the second floor for rooms because the floors below the fourth are used for other stuff), and it didn't have a good view but there isn't much you would want to look at anyway lol. The pool was great (usually hotel pools don't have this quality). The hotel had an arcade that I didn't go to. It didn't have a lot of games in it though. Also, I ate at one of the restaurants in the hotel (mtv.pub i think its called) and I didn't like my meal. But overall I had a great stay here and I recommend it to anyone staying in Springfield.
