Stayed at this hotel the weekend of October 6th while visiting the Springfield area, and we are more than pleased with the outcome! This hotel has a great location right off of highway 91, downtown springfield, adjacent to the basketball hall of fame, and great restaurant options very close by. Also, not far from 6 flags new england and shopping at the holyoke mall. Right from the start this staff was very accommodating. Upon check-in the front desk manager couldnt find my reservation... this was because I accidently reserved a room at the wrong springfield hilton! Immediately he was very hospitable and called the other hotel, cancelled the reservation at no charge, and booked me a comparable room for the same rate I reserved (great deal!) AND on the top floor of the hotel. I was very pleased with this, something that could have been a huge headache was made into an easy fix and positive experience. He also gave us complimentary breakfast coupons (which I found out about from reading reviews on here, so thank you) Definitely ask about this, it is worth it! From there on our stay was great. The hotel lobby and main floor have been recently renovated, very appealing and beautiful. The room was a great size, not as updated as the lobby but still with granite counters and comfortable bed and large LCD tv. We decided to get take-out on our first night and the restaurant we went to forgot to give us utensils. I simply asked the front desk and they provided silverware at no charge :) The best part of our stay was the breakfast (served in the lobby restaurant from 6-10) which includes everything you can think of and more. Try the french toast and made-to-order omelet! 5 star breakfast experience. All the staff that we encountered during our stay had smiles on their faces and were very friendly.
Some things which could be improved is the outdated wallpaper borders and rugs in the rooms, and renovate the pool area (pool looked as though it had seen its day). But overall these were nothing in the grand scheme of our stay especially for the price. Great extras included the bath and body works soaps and shampoos, mini-fridge and microwave and very comfortable beds. I didnt get a chance to check out the fitness center but it looks very nice!
Overall, I cannot wait for our next visit! We will stay here again.

Arrived in Springfield on a busy Friday afternoon and this was the first hotel we looked at.

Away from the centre of town, opposite the Baseball hall of Fame, the reception area was very impressive - spacious and modern - and on that basis we took a room at the AAA rate. What a disappointment. Whilst the front desk area, lobby and breakfast room had all received a recent modern face lift, the room remained a relic from 'the old days', with floral prints and chintz everywhere.

Add to that a continuously flushing toilet and a shower that spontaneously stopped showering. We were not impressed.

On a positive note, the internet was strong and fast and the front desk staff were pleasant enough.

Room Tip: Ask to be on the side or front of the building, away from the noisy road

The Hilton Garden hotel is centrally located in the south end of Springfield. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel parking along with the Basketball Hall of Fame. Easy on and off from Interstate 91. Excellent rooms with an exercise room and swimming pool. Great for that one or two night stay for golf or sight seeing. Recomend booking through Hotels.com for better rates.

Room Tip: book the 2 queen bed room for the best value.

Our family stayed at this hotel for the weekend. The staff was phenominal. Everyone was beyond courteous no matter what time we were in the lobby. They all had smiles on their faces and took emormous care of all the guests. The breakfast staff was right on top of helping all the guests and making sure everything was stocked, clean, and fresh for the guest. I recomment the breakfast buffet. It was fabulous. The buffet was plentiful and the choices included special oreder items. The chef's were right on top of the orders even though the dining area was packed with guests. I witnessed the chef had carry out the guests plate to the guest with a smile on his face. The hotel was spotless. I met several housekeeping staff, maintenance staff, and front desk employyes during our stay. All the employees were smiling but more importantly, they CARED about every guest. I work in this industry, and was impressed with what I saw and heard. If you are in the area, you must stay at this wonderful hotel. Can't wait to go back!

Stayed here for the basketball Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony weekend (we ran into the NBA commissioner in the lobby, so if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for you!).

Hotel looks brand new, rooms are very clean and nice, easy to find from the highway. Directly across the parking lot from the HoF, and overall a great stay.

Biggest negative was the lighting in the room. Like all hotels, they made the switch to a fluorescent bulbs in the lamps. But our room had the super bright/white kinds of bulbs that make it look like a hospital. They should change the bulbs to a more yellow light to be more warm and inviting.

Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly!

Enjoyed the stay and the fact that it is next to the NBA Hall of Fame. However, I do believe that I was a bit annoyed because there was jazz going on next door at UNO and we could hear it very clearly. I wish the front desk person would have told us that before giving us that room because we could not sleep until it was over at 10.

Stayed here on our way to Cape Cod. Arrived at 1am with 2 tired kids and was welcomed with a smile and checked in within minutes. Room was very clean, beds were super comfy....even my daughter commented on the bed and pillow. We paid $135 for the "Bed and Breakfast" rate so the 4 of us had breakfast included in the morning. Breakfast was outstanding and included a buffet with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, etc PLUS made to order waffles, pancakes, eggs and omlets. Service from everyone we came in contact with from front desk staff to housekeeping to servers at breakfast and John Quigley the manager in the morning was outstanding! They definitely take care of their guests and make you feel welcome! Would definitely stay here again!
