“Recovering after tornado”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

This park is a great treasure. The zoo and cages are still recovering from the tornado. Hopefully there will be funds for the bears and larger animals....Its an oasis in the City of Springfield and they should be proud of it.

“little ones will love”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

Having such a great kid friendly zoo is refreshing. Yes, it is small but it makes up for it with the personal attention from staff and the up and personal look at the animals.

“Great place for grandkids”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

We love taking our grandchildren here because they LOVE it. The animals delight the kids and adults, too. Before or after or both, there is a wonderful playground where kids love to play. It's a great place.

“Toddler treat”
Reviewed August 17, 2012

This zoo is cute , small but very nicely set up. Grweat for smaller kids maybe up to age 5 or so. They have a train ride also that is really nice to take. it goes around the whole park area. Playground right by zoo, snak bar. A great place to spend an afternoon if you have little ones.

“We love monkeys!”
Reviewed July 29, 2012

Great day trip. There are many animals to see, including bears, wolves, black swans, and llamas. If you can, try to go in the morning and catch the animals being fed. Then, ride the zoo train around the park.
