Even before you go in there's stuff to see and do. Haven't been since they redid the building, the new one is even bigger and better. If you're looking for some place to eat Plan B Burger Bar is my favorite, best burgers around.

Modern and fully stocked with baketball memorbelia. If you love basketball this is a definite stop on your way up or down Rt. 91. Easy access of the highway, lots of good restaurants within walking distance and a great way to spend a cold or rainy afternoon.

It was definitely more interactive than I thought it would be-- not as big as maybe I would've wished but still worth the trip to at least say, "Hey, I've been to the Basketball Hall of Fame."
Love the Cold Stone Creamery there, too!!!!

This museum is a pleasant surprise. It begins with a mall-like atmosphere with eateries and such. The three floor ball structure making up the museum is fascinating. Enjoyed the interactive exhibits and watching the action on the unique courts from the third floor. Greatly respected their show of appreciation of military service members and their families with free and/or greatly reduced entry fees.

I think the other reviews do a good job of outlining what to expect from the Basketball Hall of Fame. The facility is top-notch, offers some special perspectives and items from the history of basketball and greats of the game. It is not too difficult to get to, relative to Cooperstown or even Canton, and certainly can be combined with a trip to visit Boston.

However, the highlight of the Hall of Fame year, and a MUST for any basketball fan is the Hall of Fame Induction Weekend that typically takes place in August or September each year. The Hall of Fame does an amazing job of hosting 50-65 Hall of Famers and the new inductees and gives everyone an up close and personal opportunity that simply doesn't exist anywhere else in the major sports. They sell great packages for the weekend, and I am sure you will write me to thank me for letting you know about this once in a lifetime event.
