Beautiful regalia. It was wonderful to see the children dancing with their mothers. I learned quite a lot.

This troupe of Native American dancers - including some 'little ones' - was spectacular !
The M.C. did an outstanding job of explaining the history & symbolism of the dances & costumes !
The hi-lite was being able to get up & participate in the final dance !
We arrived three minutes late, and the door was locked. We never did see the performance. You've been warned!
We do seek to start our shows in a timely manner so that those guests on a schedule will not be disserviced. Due to the darkened theater we try not to open our doors after performance begins so as not to distract either the audience or dancers. When possible we station a staff member to explain this policy to late arrivals but often we are all involved with the dance. We're sorry you missed the show.
The performance was special as an experience of a community sharing their culture with persons traveling through Sitka. The narrator had cue cards but was very skilled in her talk.
It was delightful to be able to talk with the dancers ranging in age from 3 to 93 at the end of the performance.
This dance experience was special because of a few individuals who were charismatic.
If you rate this against a performance by a metropolitan dance company, you will be disappointed.
They are very obviously growing their talent in a very small town. These dances are not about performance but continuing a tradition and are meant to be performed by everyone.
The audience were given the chance to participate and that was a very special activity!
Thanks to the dance troupe for sharing so generously and allowing us to take photos.
