A great hike with beautiful vistas and fascinating totems. Great feature: phone-based audio guide. Kids loved it.

While it is a 10-15 minute walk outside of town, the trail and the totems are very interesting. Beautiful totem poles are placed throughout the trail along with their respective information. Totem poles were never an item of worship, they were decorations for the Tlingit people that told stories and sometimes ridiculed people. The visitor's center has a lot of information too, so please stop by. The trail itself if an easy way and if you get tired there are cut throughs that short cut the trail and get you back to the visitor center quickly. There is no charge to do this and that is always a plus!!

We enjoyed the gorgeous totem poles. We failed to see eagles but lots of people saw some! There's no inclines, so its an easy trail if you have orthopedic issues

We walked though here on the way to and from the Raptor centre.
The totems are all interesting and different and the little centre is good too.
Always good to find some free stuff to do.

This a terrific interpretative center and does a terrific job of educating visitors about the native Tlingit people. The totem poles are wonderful!
