“Beautiful Walk in the Big Trees”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 5, 2013

We had such a relaxing time strolling through the woods admiring the totems, soaking up the sunshine, listening to the bald eagles, ravens and seagulls!
Check out the Park Center first for background information and don't forget your mosquito repellent!!

“Nice walk and local native peoples history”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 4, 2013

Very nice walk from town to this park, and nice walk within the park. Excellent, small visitors center with short film, and displays of local native peoples culture, including totem poles inside and outside.

“Lovely walk”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013

This park is an easy walk from downtown, and is beautiful. It connects with other trails in the area that allow you to walk into gorgeous scenery in a small amount of time. There is a guided tour available by cell phone at each labeled spot, so your pace and interests are easily accommodated. They have a tiny gift shop with helpful staff. A very worthy attraction.

“Cruise Passenger Review”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

First, the park is only a short walk or $6 cab ride from the cruise terminal. Second, the attraction is free. Lastly, there is a beautiful trail where you can enjoy nature as well as the history in the area. Each totem has a phone number you can call if you'd like to know more about it.

I also recommend watching the 15 min video in the visitor center. It does a great job of explaining the history of the area.

“Both this park and Bishop's house under NPS supervision”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013

As usual, Uncle Sam put a boatload of money into these Parks. I'm all for it because the combination of a fine attraction and knowledgable guide makes for a good introductory experience to an area.

Be sure and take the totem trail route beside the park facility. You can go with a ranger on regularly scheduled tours.

It's a longish but not impossible walk out to the Park HQ from downtown
