I booked this excursion before we left on our cruise. It went exactly as planned and we had a fantastic time. Paul was able to entertain my two college age daughter, myself and my 73 year old mother. My older daughter is set on going back next summer to stay in Sitka for a week because of how much she enjoyed Gallant Adventures tour! This tour was the most enjoyable of any we took while cruising. We saw so much amazing sea life including gray whales, humpback whales, sea otters with pups, stellar sea lions, a bald eagle's nest, murres, guillemonts, tufted puffins and an oystercatcher. I understand some of these are birdwatcher's dreams to see. We were amazed with the beauty of the area. We toured around St. Lazaria Island and were able to go into a most wonderful sea cave. Bring the camera! You won't find a better excursion in Alaska.

Just returned from a half day trip with Paul. Can't express how awesome this trip was. We were practically still in the harbor and were in the middle of a school of salmon jumping all around us. The trip was one breathtaking experience after another. We were so close to whales and sea lions, we could hear them breathing. The list of wildlife we saw is truly incredible - sea otter moms carrying babies on their bellies, the whale that we saw blow and dive at least three times, the puffins, the porpoises, the raft of old male sea otters just hanging out and so many more. We were so lucky to have Paul as a guide. His enthusiasm is infectious and he works really hard to make sure that everyone on the trip has a chance to see everything. His knowledge of the area and the habits of the wildlife we were watching really made the trip even more amazing. We have been on wildlife tours all over the world, and this trip was truly one of the best.

We booked this outing for our cruise ship stop in Sitka. We found Paul from TripAdvisor and it was a great choice! We had 12 people in our group and Paul's boat would only hold 6 so no problem he called his friend Jim and we had two boats for everyone. Paul and Jim met us on time and were as excited as we were to go explore the area. Off we went and within 10 minutes we were observing a grey whale that was in the area. Next it was on to eagles, sea otters, puffins, deer , seals and star fish. We also stopped to observe the Salmon and some of the local fishing. The information Paul and Jim shared was very educational and provided great insight into everything we did that day. We were out for about 3 hours...slightly more than that I think...maybe 3.5 hours. If I ever get back there I sure hope that Paul and Gallant Adventures is still around and running trips! Our group had 6 adults and 6 children ages 10-16...kids had a blast!

Went on a half day trip with Paul and 4 other passengers. It was awesome! He knew so much about the area, the wildlife, where to find it, facts about it. He seemed as excited to see things as we were. Words cannot express, in fact, I plan to call him to arrange a second trip before I leave the area!

Paul puts together the best wildlife trip. He also made a special effort to find the whales. We were there early in the season (early June) but he found them. Otters...Otters...Otters!! Eagles, Puffins...just a great trip.
If you come in on a cruise ship like we did, his timing for his trips works great.

His knowledge of the area and the wildlife was priceless. Sitka was beautiful and Paul's Gallant Adventures was the best port and excursion we did. Great Photos too!

Thank you Paul!
