The lodge and rooms are very nice and comfortable. The dinners are exactly what they advertise. The service is marginal to say the least. This fishing lodge is designed for couples that do not know anything about fishing or service. You have to ask twice for everything, do not expect them to go out of their way, i.e. you may have to ask for coffee or wake them up for breakfast, or wait at the dock for 45 minutes to be picked up. Fishing was marginal, fly outs are pretty but do not expect in July to fish for anything more than dollies or pink salmon. They only have two places that they fly too for the most part, and you will spend most of your time hiking and 2 hours fly fishing. Forget dropping crab pots or shrimp pots on the way to go fishing like they say because its in the opposite direction, its more of a back up plan if the seas are too rough for fishing. We spent over 12k for a week and was very disappointed with the staff. We left there and had a great time fishing the peninsula, we took several helicpoter fly outs after we left for half the cost and completely better fishing and excellent guides. My thoughts are is if it was 6k for two I would say its worth it, but in this economy there are too many places that are going to knock your socks off with food and service. They also have a second boat that is horrible for what your paying for. My advice...Try Bristol Bay..Rainbow lodge, or Talon in Sitka.
