I was always a fan of Abraham Lincoln until I saw what he did with the soldiers at this battle. I learned so much here. Going back this fall

Liked it all. No dislikes! You ave to watch the movie. Also, the day we went they actually was shooting off a cannon. Very fascinating. A trip worth doing.

A beautiful place to visit. Sitting on the banks of the Tennessee River, this cemetery is stunning. If you are a history buff or just like cemeteries, this is a must see. Well worth the hour drive south from Interstate 40.

The countless white headstones, down by the river, are a stark reminder that freedom...even within our own nation wasn't free. It gives you a very "small" feeling, to walk through the cemetery, look at the stones and read the names. Those aren't just white markers, but rather a tribute to the brave soul that lies beneath. If you ever think you are entitled to something, simply because you are an American....you should visit this cemetery for a reality check.

This cemetry is part of the Shiloh Battlefield Park. It is on ahill overlooking the TennesseeRiver. It is very well laid out and very peaceful, with many benches amongst the graves for people to sit and think about the surroundings.
