This is a luxury restaurant in a luxury space in a luxury inn. Fine china, stemware and tuxedo-wearing staff in a room fit for the monied set. Overall our experience was fine, but not great. As is the case in many small resort areas, expd help is hard to fine, but Circa 31 is trying to please, and they should get credit for that. The food and drink prices were not outrageous, and the scene is fun to experience. In-season (we dined in Jan) and later this year Circa '31 might very well be even better for others than it was for us -- but then it will probably have to be to eventually turn a profit on all the money that was apparently invested to make this the showplace of Luray.
