once again I would not go again but the price is included in the cavern admission. So why not there isn't anything else plus it was raining well it was a downpour so why not be inside and not getting soaked at SNP

“Interesting”
Reviewed September 20, 2013

It was a very nice addition to the caverns and the ticket included it. Nice history of the area thru the civil war. found it interesting and the staff was very helpful and friendly. cute gift shop. The original German Bible was unique and something to see. I even bought a bag of "gemstones" and mined them in the water. It was cute and fun to see what I "found"

“Nice little museum”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

The museum has a lot of local artifacts, but the story of the area was a little hard to follow. You're pretty much on your own to learn what you can compared to other museums I've visited. I almost missed the original German Bible on display until someone mentioned how unique it was. With the caverns and the car museum as well as this one, it's a lot to take in during one visit.

“Nice way to end an excellent tour”
Reviewed September 15, 2013

It was nice learning about the area and for picture taking. The school and meeting house were sealed behind glass but walking the grounds were beautiful

“Quaint”
Reviewed September 12, 2013

We were hoping to learn more about how the mine's discovery affected the area and how the area changed over time but the museum's focus seemed to be on displaying antique artifacts from the area regardless of their connection to history. It was interesting - especially the civil war shower - but it is small and lacks a cohesive narrative thread to the exhibits.
