You can pick up a map of the greenway at the Visitors Center. It will highlight some of the things you will pass by during the walk.

We got onto the trail via easy access at Main Street. The walk is smooth and wide enough to pass other walkers and bicycles. Many folks out walking with dogs and kids. They provide dog poop stations along the way.

We saw herons and many types of ducks. This was a warm spring day and several water snakes were active along the bank, coming up to bask in the sun. Amazing!

There are murals on many of the buildings bordering the trail, and on the underpass walls. Handy benches are spaced out along the way if you need a rest.

A beautiful greenway with lots of ducks, parks, and dogs to pet! What a treasure that Luray has, and the town obviously takes great pride and care in it.

A beautiful walkway that goes along the creek. Several different parking areas to start from, good fishing with stocked trout and a couple handicap accessible fishing areas. We were there to check out the different species of birds that can be found there.

This is a beautiful paved trail with handicap access to the entire trail. Most of it follows a creek and goes through parts of downtown Luray. At one end, there is a large circular path, that goes around a cow field, so you get all the smells of nature, LOL. Really, there's great smells of flowers, green grass, fresh breezes, and the sounds of a the flowing creek. We're not talking a trickling water bed. This is enough water to appreciate. Some times of year there are areas you can fish in or can even swim in (at your own risk). There are ducks, benches, shade trees, a train trussel over part of it, picnic tables, and several areas to park so you can start your walk from different areas.
