Great hike with beautiful views. This hike was easy and not very long. Families with young children who can hike a couple of miles would find this to be a great one while in Shenandoah! We did this one three years ago when the boys were younger.

“Stupendous View of the Shenandoah Valley”
Reviewed July 11, 2014

This is an easy hike, especially fun with the $1 trail map available at the entrance of the trail. The view is awesome, and sitting on the rock formation at 4,100 feet is an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

“Very Nice Hike - gorgeous views”

Started off at the parking lot for Little Stony Man - and followed directions on the map at the entrance for a good 4 hour hike with fabulous views.

“A beautiful view is your reward”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

This is a great little hike- not too long, about 2 miles round trip and okay for beginners. (We took our 5 year old grandson) fun to go with the park ranger if you get a chance, but solo is good too. The view at the top is spectacular!

“Hike on the Fourth”
Reviewed July 6, 2014

Very easy hike! Start real early in the morning so that you get to the summit by yourself (no one else to photobomb you!). But do dress in layers as it can get cold at the summit. When we got up there, it was cloudy but we waited for just a bit and pretty soon, the clouds parted and we were rewarded with awesome views.
