“Great weekend getaway for pampering”

My boyfriend and I were only able to stay one evening in the Margaret Bland room, but it was worth the quick trip from DC. We were able to see Luray caverns nearby, enjoy the in- room massage service, take baths in the whirlpool and enjoy a nice dinner out. The bed felt like a king size Tempur-pedic (nice!) and the breakfast was amazing- you couldn't ask for nicer hosts. We visited some of the wineries on the way home, thanks to the free tasting passes provided by the Inn. Will definitely return when we can !

We stayed in the cottage over a weekend in May. It was nice to have some privacy but still be right next door to the main house. The layout of the cottage was a bit weird, such as putting the jacuzzi tub in the kitchen area. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough hot water in the heater to fill up the large jacuzzi and enjoy a bath. Otherwise, the food and service were really good. Would stay here again, but maybe in the main house.

I surprised my new fiance following our engagement with a quick getaway to Luray. Upon arrival she was blown away by the roses, champagne flutes and chocolate awaiting us. We also had an in-room couples massage arranged as well as reservations for a romantic dinner. Tom and Anita have an amazing Inn. They make you feel at home and ensure that everything is perfect. IT WAS!!! The food that was delicious and we loved hearing about the origins of the recipes. We stayed in the cottage behind the Inn. It was great....cozy and private. Tom does a wonderful job explaining the history of the estate and home. Very interesting! Also, I have never slept on more comfortable sheets. I would go back to this wonderful B&B in a heartbeat.

Tom and Anita did a wonderful job making us feel welcome in their lovely home. Tom does most of the cooking and he is an EXCELLENT chef! He made his own lavendar honey, had jams from the Ukraine, baked an egg souffle with morrel mushrooms from the front yard. The food was absoultely amazing. They keep plenty of local info in the house - from restaraunt menus, to hiking trails in the shenandoah park, to local vineyards. Tom and Anita also did our very small wedding - and it was perfect - stress free for me. I have over 100 photos, lovely flowers, keepsake robe, champagne flutes, keepsake copy of vows. I simply could not have asked for better. Thank you thank you thank you!

I would recommend this place to anyone that wants a small wedding ceremony or to just get away from the city for a couple of days. We stayed in the cottage and it was fantastic. Tom and Anita are very accommodating and knowledgeable. They are fantastic cooks. The breakfast was amazing. Everything from the wedding ceremony was great. The flowers were beautiful, the pictures turned out wonderful and the cake was delicious. We will definitely be returning for our anniversary.

Tom and Anita are two interesting, accommodating and very likable characters.. The Potts are quite knowledgeable of their home and the area history.. My partner and I truly liked staying there for a couple of days enjoying the closeness to nature in such a convenient town.. We do wished the town itself had a bit more choices regarding nightlife.
