This is really one of those places that you can not judge from the exterior. Huge collection of snakes and other repitiles that was really not my cup of tea but interesting to see and run away from. The rescued animals all had their personal story to tell. We were fortunate to meet the husband and wife owners and get the inside story of many of the animals.

Had a overcast day so instead of hitting the park we headed to the zoo. Kids had fun in the petting zoo feeding the goats. The goats definitely liked the attention...and of course the food.

Took our 13 year old daughter while on vacation. From the outside....it looked like a waste of time and money. Boy were we surprised! The quote..."you can't judge a book by its cover" certainly describes the appearance of this zoo. They had a great abundance of snakes inside. When you walked outside there were parrots, owls, birds, tigers, donkeys, goats, peacocks, monkeys, horses, pigs, deer and more. "Mr. Mark" the owner, made our visit very enjoyable because of his terrific personality. I was very impressed to learn about the snakes venom, as well as the true meaning of a rescue zoo.

This zoo is a rescue zoo and seemed to get lots of good reviews so we popped in for a visit. It was $10 each to enter and the first part is a reptile area. There they have lots of glass tanks full of snakes, lizards and other reptiles. This part was pretty good as there were lots of snakes and many of them were quite active.

Next you go outside to the animal area where they have alligators, lemurs, monkeys and a tiger. They also have a several birds such as peacocks and parrots. We found this area to be very depressing. The animals were in small cages and did not look happy. The tiger had an information board, which said she liked to play in her pool, but there was no pool in her cage. There is also a petting zoo with deer, lamas, tortoises and wallabies.

I actually felt like I wanted to rescue these animals from the rescue zoo. We did not stay long and I would never go back.
