While I realize that locally owned motels seldom have the resources to constantly update bathrooms, furniture, carpet and paint, this motel failed to keep up with even the simplest, inexpensive repairs in their 70's decor rooms! The room door was impossible to open without brute force, and a light bulb was broken in the (stained and yellowed) floor lamp. The advertised wireless internet did not actually work inside the room but only outside. The biggest surprise came in the morning when about a dozen millipedes and crickets were swarming the carpet. When we complained to management while checking out, we were essentially ignored. When we left at 8:15am, the promised coffee and breakfast had not been set up yet.
Unfortunately, from reading other hotel reviews in Luray, this type of hospitality seems on par with other outdated and overpriced lodging options in town.More
