The Inn is very pretty and in a good location in Luray. Easy to get around. The Innkeeper was very sweet but lacked attention to detail. Spacious room and bathroom. But had to ask twice for face clothes and hand towels. Also there are only 2 hair dryers in the inn. So either bring your own or ask in advance. The rooms were not cleaned well at all. Some of the used towels were left in the tub. Our hair in the tub/shower was not cleaned from the night before. The hair on the bathroom floor was also not cleaned from the night before. There is a coffee pot in the room with regular coffee. We asked for decaf and they had none. Downstairs in the main house they do have regular & decaf coffee and juice. Unfortunately there was only 1 spoon for every there to share to use to stir your coffee. See what I mean about attention to detail... The breakfast was a good size. But we were not told what it would be or asked if we wanted any substitutes. the first day was scrambled eggs, bacon, 2 waffles (frozen and toasted) and a very nice small bowl of assorted fruit. There was also yogurt cups to chose from by the coffee service table. It was decent. The second morning was also scrambled eggs, sausage, some kind of frozen, toasted stuffed French toast thing (which was pretty good if you like that sort of food), and the small fruit cup. This particular day there were no yogurts. I heard one of the guest ask where they were and the Innkeeper said "Oh I guess I forgot to put them out". I also overheard one of the guest tell the Innkeeper the coffee creamer went bad. Probably because it had been there since yesterday. Again ... attention to detail. Nice place but wouldn't go back for the money spent. Oh 1 last thing, there was only the sheet on the bed and the comforter. Most places use a blanket or quilt between the sheet and comforter...if you are squeamish about comforters being washed between guests this might give you the willies.
