“Downtown family restaurant”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

The food is excellent. They have home made biscuits & honey which is Great! Make some really delicious omelets! The waitresses are friendly and very prompt taking our orders. We look forward to return time and time again. Reminds me of a restaurant we had in our little town in Maryland. They have good cooks as the food is delicious and the waitresses are great!

“Unique cuisine in Luray.”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

Hard to describe this restaurant. The food was excellent and some of it was quite unique and original. I had the corned beef hash for breakfast and it was slices of real corned beef rather than the tiny morsels found in the canned variety! I look forward to returning there for this same meal!

“Down home family diner”
Reviewed March 6, 2013

The food was excellent. Glad they were open during the storm. We certainly appreciated the staff coming out in the snow. It was a recommendation from someone at luray caverns. What a nice surprise.

“Decent food but nothing special”
Reviewed February 27, 2013

This place has some interesting stuff on the menu. They said they have "famous" corn fritters so we tried some- they were OK but tasted a lot like fryer grease, almost like they had cooked too long. We also got a full rack of ribs with fries to share but these weren't exceptional either. The ribs had a decent sauce and were very meaty but they can't compare to real BBQ and the fries, like the fritters, tasted like fryer grease, not French fries. Their "famous" fried green tomatoes weren't very good- they also tasted like grease and were too thick.

The service wasn't that good considering they were only serving about 6 tables in a pretty good-sized place. I would check out some other places in Luray before going here.
