My two small children and I planned a short get away to Luray, VA over the holiday weekend. Made a reservation at the Days Inn with little expectation other then a place to sleep from a long day of sightseeing. Its not the nicest hotel that I have stayed at but it met the needs of the kids and I. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The beds could have been a little softer but that is more of a personal preference. The views from the hotel are amazing. Its nice to wake up and look out to see the sunrise over the mountain. I have recommended this hotel to friends and family who are now planning on taking a weekend trip to Luray. The hotel is within a few miles of the caverns, downtown Luray and Skyline Drive. My family and I dined at Uncle Bucks which was a nice treat! Can't wait to make another get away to the area!

Although showing a little age, the Days Inn at Luray is well-maintained, extremely clean and well-organized. The continental breakfast was good an d adequate. The desk staff were helpful and responsive. Our room was in good order, although the sink drain ran slowly and the faucet could be replaced. Overall, it was a good experience and good value.

My boyfriend and I went to check out the caverns for the day and went to the Days Inn late in the evening to see if they had a room available. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful in getting us a room. The room was nice for the price - would have been really nice for a few days vacation - especially for a family....pool, refrigerator, microwave - if I was going to be there for a few days it would be been really great.

Don't go expecting a luxury hotel - but deffinatly good for the price!

We found the hotel very clean, well run and safe. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They were willing and happy to accommodate changes to our fluid schedule. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who is visiting the caverns or traveling through the exquisite Blue Ridge area. Further and perhaps most important, they accepted our jack russell, Lucy.

people who come from other countries that buy into a motel chain must understand that a clean bedsheet is not all they need to do. my wife and son were exsposed to at least 50 flies, dirty carpets, bugs on floor, mold in bathroom, refridge not cold, hair drier connector busted and dirty, wall outlets unsafe...shame on days inn company for not holding their independent owners accountable. been better off to save the money and slept in car!

The room was way below expectations. The "antique" room was furnished with very worn furniture that can best be described as second hand. It was the kind of furniture that you would find in a Salvation Army Store or low end consignment shop. The room had a musty smell that was slightly hidden behind cleaning chemicals. But unfortunately, those same cleaning materials must not have been utilized in the bathroom where the tub was etched with mold. No one wanted to shower in the bathroom!! Everything about the room was outdated and funky. Don't stay there!!

The motel from outside looks very nice. The lobby is also very nice, and that is about it.
Our room 105 was on 1st fl. near the lobby. The drapes had holes and the room had a strange odor. Needs remodeling desperately. The bathroom floor had dirt 2" thick in the corners. Was supposed to be no smoking and the tub had burn mark. Very small room and not very clean. Frige was OK. to cool water and soda.
After check in early in the day we went to Caverns which is very close and stayed away as long as we could. Arrived back about 9p.m. and was shocked that almost all rooms were taken. It is the closest to the Skyline drive and I guess that is why they can fill up.
The breakfast was terrible. Three dry cerals, apples, no juice because the machine had been broken the week before. Coffee was very weak and overheard some people complaining about the breakfast as a whole. There were some muffins and bread that you could toast. Extremely disappointed in the place. Would not recommend to anyone.
