Amazing group of vehicles, etc., gathered in one place. It must have cost the Luray Caverns people a small mint to outfit this museum. We did not expect much but were "wowed."

“Neat, informative historic car museum”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

I really liked the informative signs in front of each vehicle. However, I think there could have been a "quick tidbit" of info that would appeal to younger kids who didn't want to read the entire blurb. I enjoyed seeing the one-of-a-kind vehicles which belonged to famous people and also the "last of its kind" vehicles. This particular collection starts with horse carriages and moves forward into the late-1920s and early 1930s. It isn't the biggest collection you'll see, but it is well-done and the cars are beautiful. I especially enjoyed the information that said where the cars were manufactured. Did you know cars used to be made ALL OVER the United States? We only came through here because it was included in our admission ticket to the cavern, but you can purchase a Car Museum only ticket for a smaller price.

I am not a huge fan of antique cars, but the Car and Carriage Museum does a good job of offering plenty to look at and just enough information on each artifact to keep your interested:)
