“Great View, Friendy Staff”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

On our way to Sequoia/Kings Canyon we stopped at The Gateway Restaurant and Lodge. I've stayed at the lodge in 2008 and have no complaints. The food at the restaurant is good but the quantity is a bit skimpy but the prices are reasonable. The waitress we had was great and accepted our requests for some slight changes to the items we ordered but the cooks did not comply. If you are in a hurry, this may not be the place to stop. Though the views are gorgeous, our lunch from sit down to leaving took 2 hours (we arrived at 12:30).

“Good ribs!”

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. About the only place worth eating at unless you are willing to settle for mexican or pizza. Pricey.

Booked a table sat on balcony, good river location. Lovely staff and food was fine, decent Pinot noir.

“Pricey but Excellent”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

The food here was excellent but we had to pre book as it was very popular. Parking is not the easiest but the food is very good here.

The steaks were cooked really well & the service was also excellent.

“Worst food ever”

Vile and terrible value to boot. We would never go out of our way to write a review, but this place is horrible.
