My husband and I stayed only one night here. We spoke with Victoria on the phone to book the cabin. She was very friendly and helpful. She wanted to make sure we get there safely and not get lost. The rooms by the river were not available. So we ended up with their one-bedroom Blossom cabin across the street. The cabin came with a kitchen if you would like to cook. It also had a little fridge. There was no phone in the cabin, but there was a shared telephone by the office that you can use to dial anywhere free of charge. The cabin was kind of old and small. I noticed there were cobwebs on parts of the walls. My husband wanted to open the window in the bathroom, but the window wouldn't hold up. So my husband put a cup there to keep the window open. To plush the toilet, we had to hold the lever down to flush the toilet completely. In addition, the queen sized bed was too soft. We both woke up with a backache. There was a patio area outside. We would sit outside but we didn't like the fact that it was facing the street and the restaurant across the street, which stayed open until midnight. In terms of the location, this hotel is 3/4 mile away from the entrance to Sequoia National Park. You can't beat that. We had dinner at the Gateway Restaurant right next to the hotel. It was expensive, but the food was good. If you drive further away from the park, there are some other more affordable restaurants, as well as a couple of markets. If you are just spending the night and go explore in the national park, then I would recommend the place for the sake of the location.
