There aren't many choices for dinner in Three Rivers just outside of Sequoia National Park. While visiting the park we stayed at the Comfort Inn across the street and within walking distance it was either Mexican or pizza. We chose Casa Mendoza and were pleased with the experience. In all honesty the food was ok, not spectacular when you compare it to everything we have available to us nearby in Los Angeles but it was decent coupled with an ice cold beer.
What really made the evening was the live entertainment and the helpful staff. We were lucky enough to get the table outside next to the guitarist/singer that was playing the perfect selection of chill music. It really took things up a notch, great ambiance. Additionally, the staff was great and very helpful in answering questions about food prep (my son has a food allergy) and they really made things easy.
They were really busy that night as it was Labor Day weekend but the service was still good. If you find yourself in Three Rivers, give them a try.
