It had been a few years since we'd been to Angela's and stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. The place itself is looking a little tired -- the scratched up Naugahyde in the booths, the prints slipping down in their frames. A make-over is probably in order. Unfortunately there's nothing they can do about the view out onto Route 1.
But the food remains excellent. The marinated wings with caramelized onions will quickly make you forget about your standard buffalo wings. They're big and meaty and full of flavor. The pizza is also very good with a thin, slightly chewy crust, singed just enough to give it some extra flavor. As others have noted, the salads are nothing too special and our House Italian was swimming in oil. But if you're coming here, salad is probably not your top priority. Service was friendly and efficient.
