“Worth the trip”

Excellent food. Worth the little bit of hassle to get to. Chicken wings like no other. Name doesnt give them justice. Small pizza plenty for two of us.

“Great place for pizza and wings!”
Reviewed August 24, 2013 via mobile

We come here all the time and love it. The wings are fall off the bone good and the pizza is nicely cooked with the availability of different toppings. They also have take-out which is a plus when you just want to pick something up.

“"Supah" stop in Sawwguhs. Unreal wings and great pizza.”
Reviewed July 26, 2013

Coal doesnt sound like the best fuel for food, I will fully admit. But one can assume it must burn hot! Charcoal is big for BBQ I figure, so why not try it out. Admittedly we chose this place for a family reunion/get together based on the TA #1 review and proximity to the airport! But the end result was perfectly fine. It's not a big place, but the food was pretty darn terrific for a pizza place. They make an amazing chicken wing, tender soft (braised?) with carmelized onions, lemon, and some spices. They melted in your mouth. Pizzas were unique, thin crust, nice flavor - and make use of my number one pizza requirement - a great red sauce. So many places are just cheese on dough these days but these were tomatoey good. We had one with figs/arugula, one plain and one mediterranean style. All good. No beers on tap (a minus) but House Sangria (a plus). Staff was busy but sufficient, and friendly. Recommended.

“Not What I Expected”
Reviewed June 12, 2013

Went to Angela's based on trip advisor reviews. It certainly doesn't meet expectations if you are looking for pizza. Nice thin coal fired crust on my Ultimo and ok toppings but nothing great. The tomato sauce was flavorless and the cheese run of the mill and used sparingly. Crust had an unusual sweet taste for pizza as well. In comparison to Regina's on Thacher St. Angela's is not on the same page at all especially in the key ingredients to pizza. They have some unusal choices but lack in flavor even the pie with alfredo sauce was just ok. The most distressing thing is the place is filthy. There is dirt dust everywhere. The stools like they have never been cleaned and the dust on the windowsills just shows how lazy the leaners are. Then the black ductwork has not been cleaned at all. If you cannot take the time to clean the restaurant properly I would be scared to look in the kitchen.

“Good food, good service”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

After a long day walking in Boston, we thoroughly enjoyed a delicious pizza and a great salad...and unsweetened ice tea....a real treat for me.
