“walk walk walk”
Reviewed October 28, 2012

this park is never ending with the walking that you have to do. Make sure you have comfortable walking shoes. We had a very nice time but, then we got caught in the rain, so we are going to go back again next summer. the leaves on the trees were just starting to change so, it looked nice but, we were a little early for thr bright foilage.

“Great History and nature!”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

I've been coming here since I was a kid, and its great if you love history, nature or both! The driving tour is great, but if you like to bicycle it's even better! Just be warned its about 12 miles with a lot of hills! Definitely a must visit if you're in the area and a history buff!

“It's Actually In Stillwater, New York.”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

I lived in Stillwater, NY for approximately 10 years. It was amazing having the Saratoga Battlefield practically in my back yard.

“The real deal of the American Revolution”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

It's hard to appreciate for some of us prior to going here that this was the British Army surrendered at Saratoga. It's a big deal to the war. Also, it was a large scale battle, including more than fifteen thousand men.

It has a self guided audio tour and the site it more than ten miles long.

If you have an interest in battle sites, go here.

“Wish I had more time”
Reviewed September 28, 2012

Was lucky enough to get here on a beautiful day in late September. I knew very little about the Battle of Saratoga and now know so much more. Get the vehicle pass - it's cheap - to drive around to the different locations. They're beautiful and it's interesting to think about what happened there. Unfortunately General Schuyler's home is only open certain days of the week and I wasn't there that day and only had about an hour to spend in the park on the drive. Would have been better if I had more time to spend.
