“Perfect stay for one night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013 via mobile

We stopped at the Quality Inn for just one night on our road trip through California. The service at the front desk was excellent and very friendly. The room and bath was clean and the furniture looked nice, we felt comfortable from the first moment. There is a nice little pool and also a jacuzzi which we enjoyed. It is located 3 min away from a big shopping mall with cinema, so there is something to do in the evening. Last but bit least... There was bacon for breakfast!

I'm sorry that I took a risk and pre-paid for a five day stay.

The location near US101 and Thousand Oaks Blvd is convenient, plus you will have few reasons to stay on property: the pool isn't heated and the intermittent wifi is unacceptable.

Breakfast offerings include hard boiled eggs, waffles, oranges, apples, cereal, breads and yogurt. Coffee is weak and tasteless: you may want to bring your own!

My "non-smoking" room smelled from some weird chemical meant to mask the smell from prior smoking.

Would never stay here or recommend it. We wanted to find a decent hotel in Camarillo, but couldn't find any with consistently good reviews.
This had good reviews .
We stayed for 5 nights & would have moved hotels had we not prepaid online. Even so if we had not been so busy with the wedding preparations that we were needed for we would have moved hotel, even at the extra cost.
Negatives: no elevators. Bedding was soft but sheets were stained. Beds were hard.manager told us that all the beds were the same except some maybe older, but all same kind so we went out & got 2 inch memory foam..still hard, even after stacking it. Have only encountered this problem one other time (at Courtyard Marriott in Riverside, Ca) We're not super soft mattress people so this problem is weird to us. Beds creak when you move even a little. Curtains were adequate but light does get through. Closet was in bathroom & had no door...clothes get damp from shower.Dresser drawers don't stay closed. Toilet flushed loud enough to be heard down the hall !
Husband who sleeps easily & isn't bothered by much found the refrigerator to be so loud as it turned on & off during the night that he had to unplug it. the parking lot was littered with glass. No newspapers available in lobby. Not all the channels that were on the list that the hotel said that they received were able to be viewed.(like the weather channel & local channels) no way to find out the local weather ! There was hardly ever anyone at the front desk when we went to the lobby during the morning (9am-11am). The staff that we did encounter were nice. Didn't have problem with noise outside the room though you could hear thumping from people walking. Door to room closed extremely hard...had to push against it with your shoulder to get it to latch. when we checked in we Found a large hair tie on the floor.

Room Tip: Room 226 was in a quiet area overlooking the courtyard ( not near pool or vending machines, or stair...

Today, my husband and I came back from a 8 day trip to Southern California. I personally choosed the Quality Inn & Suites in Thousand Oaks regarding the location. I wanted to visit Santa Monica and Santa Barbara and this Hotel is located in the middle of both vacation destinations. I was happy at this Quality Inn in Thousand Oaks and the assistant manager Ryan was very friendly and professional. Our room was comfortable and spacious, shopping opportunites around us plenty as well as good restaurants. I can only recommend this Hotel and plan be back asap. Thanks again Ryan Faith.

Room Tip: I would recommend the first floor rooms with patio, costs a little more but is worth so much.

Moved to this place from Good Nite in Feb 2013 and stayed for a couple of days as part of business visit. To my surprise got far more superior deal at almost the same price (at just $10 extra). The room was much more spacious and had amenities like microwave, refrigerator,TV and complimentary breakfast. The hotel is clean, well carpeted with good service. It has jacuzzy, pool and gym. The Manager Mr.Desai is a friendly and helpful person. Located near commercial centre with good eateries around. The SSA and DMV office are nearby. Thanks for a good and memorable stay.

We visit this area 3 to 4 times a year for many years now and always stay here. Ryan Faith, asst. manager makes us feel very welcome that we feel we've come home. He tries to give us the room we feel comfortable in and it enhances our experience on our mini vacation. He is professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and the maids were attentive to our needs. Even though we didn't need our room serviced, they still came by with towels and emptied our trash. The breakfast selection seems to have improved. Fun place to stay for everyone!

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the courtyard are very nice,

This was my second visit to Quality Inn Thousand Oaks. My first one in December 2012 was great. Each time I have spent over a week here. The road cycling around Thousand Oaks is amazing.
This hotel is the best value for money in Thousand Oaks, and is perfect training base for canyon rides. Refrigerator in the room! Laundry machines outside.
The rooms are a good size, kept very clean. The grounds are impeccable. The hot tub is very nice and clean. The pool although unheated, was great for cold immersions after the hot tub. My room had a new 37inch LCD TV. Another great perk about staying here is you get to use the Gold's Gym which is a 5 min walk away. Gold's Gym is a top notch facility that has it all, indoor pool that is about 20m long, steam, sauna, big gym...Free WiFi, breakfast. The front desk staff are great, very helpful. I'm coming back for sure. Generally the hotel is very quiet, sometimes you can hear noisy people next door, if people are disturbing you, call the front desk, they are great at keeping things quiet!

Room Tip: Facing the freeway might be a bit noisy for some.
