We love our Smashburger in Roseville where we live, so we had no problem stopping in at the one Thousand Oaks on our way South. Wow ! What a difference. The person that took our food order was incredibly dense. The nice thing about Smashburger is that the meat is fresh, so you can have it any way you like. Also, you can add things to put on your burger or leave things out. He insisted that we had to have our burgers well done, and then couldn't seem to handle the substitutions we wanted so tried to charge us for a la carte burgers which came up a whole lot more expensive. We almost walked out, but then he got it together and gave us what we wanted for about the same price we were used to paying. Our food came: Burgers were done to a crisp, almost inedible. The fries we ordered were soggy. Gosh. This place needs a new manager and a new chef.
