“Very Nice”
Reviewed March 2, 2014

We were quite pleased with our accommodations at the Hampton Inn & Suites, Thousand Oaks. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean and quiet, which is always our two most important criteria. Parking was never a problem. The breakfast was perfectly adequate - on par with most of the other Hampton Inns. We had a slight problem one night with the A/C, but then we finally figured it out and it was okay. The walls did seem somewhat thin. I heard our neighbors, but perhaps they were just super noisy. It wasn't such a problem that it truly interfered with our sleep. The beds and pillows were great! I'm sure if we have reason to be back in the area again, we would definitely stay here in the future.

Room Tip: Top floor is always best.

I stayed here for one night on my way into the Los Angeles area. This was a nice newer looking Hotel. There was some construction going on next door for another Hotel, but was not a problem. It is in a quiet neighborhood, but a bit isolated. Considering the price, I would stay here again if traveling through the same way.

Jason is the best. Hotel very modern, clean & breakfast was tasty.Breakfast had waffles that were very edible, lots of yogurt & fruits., omelets were fresh and lots of cereal options. The king suite is very very roomy and well laid out. Well insulated & could not hear freeway at all. Near to shops, movies theater, golf and coast.

Clean, Great Service and Freindly Staff. THe breakfast was good with many choices. We will be back again. This Hotel is about half way from our home on the Central Coast. Location of hotel is in a quiet area just off the freeway. Love LA but nice to get out and relax in the country. This Hotel does just that. Good Job Hampton Inn.

Thanks for the awesome review! We are located in the beautiful Conejo Valley, minutes from Malibu and just west of Downtown LA. Highway 101 will take you north into Santa Barbara in less than an hour, into the gateway to the Central Coast. I am so glad you enjoyed your time in Thousand Oaks, please come back and see us soon!

Professional staff, friendly but new and unsure. This this is my second stay in this hotel and It was more disappointment than before. As a 100+ night per year traveler I expect more from a Hilton property. Room had A/C balance issues either too warm or cold, bed was uncomfortable, floors more than squeak when walking in the rooms and hallways on the 3d floor. The rooms are excellent cleaned and housekeeping should be commended. This trip was for visiting family for the long weekend and hotel was busy.
Yes breakfast is typical Hampton Inn with scrambled eggs from a process that resemble pellets of yellow sponges with little to no flavor. Barely warm gray precooked sausage. But the saving grace hot oatmeal with appealing fresh fruit. Hot coffee, packages of yogurt and great service attitude from the staff.in this area make it better.
It is convenient for 101 travelers.
Be warned that at this time FEB.2014 there is construction noises from one side of the building with back-up alarms going off in the morning.

Room Tip: stay in the rear away from the freeway if you are a light sleeper. Make sure you have reservations a...

We stayed here 2 nights because it was close to the Ronald Reagan Museum and Library and to the Paso Robles Wine Country. Our room was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable which coming from me says a lot because I have a sleep number bed at home and most hotel beds are not comfortable for me. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our continental breakfast(especially the waffle maker). All in all this hotel offered everything we look for in a place to stay.

As a frequent business traveler, I appreciate comfort and functionality over luxury, and the Hampton Inn & Suites Thousand Oaks certainly met my needs.

During my stay the grounds were undergoing some refurbishment, but the common areas were in good condition. Both check-in and check-out were friendly and efficient. The breakfast area had plenty of seating and featured a number of hot items such as scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and biscuits & gravy.

My room was spacious and well-designed. You can tell this hotel caters to business travelers with one look at the highly functional work station, where there’s an Ethernet cable and lots of electrical outlets. The bed was comfortable and everything in the room (lights, air conditioning, plumbing, HDTV, etc.) worked as it was supposed to.

NOTE that the hotel is adjacent to US highway 101, so if you’re a particularly light sleeper you might ask for a room facing away from the freeway.

I would certainly stay here again if my business brings me back to the Thousand Oaks area.

Room Tip: If you are a very light sleeper you might ask for a room facing away from the freeway.
