“Enjoyed our Stay - Santa Fe a Great Place to Visit”
Reviewed March 11, 2009

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were newly decorated which included flat screen televisions. Location was good for us, since we went to Albuquerque a few times. The Inn is conveniently located to the highway between Santa Fe and Albuquerque, and is about 15 minutes from downtown Santa Fe.

A car is a must. It is recommended however, that you fill up your car with gas before returning it. AVIS gouged us $87.97 for filling up a vehicle that would normally cost $25.00 at the most. There are no gas stations close to the Albuquerque rental car depot, so you must plan this in advance. AVIS did not tell us this in advance.

The only complaint about the INN was the breakfast was somewhat redundant. We stayed there for a week, and it was basically the same menu every day, with limited variation. A suggestion would be some fresh fruit, yogurt, bran cereals and perhaps waffles.

We stayed Thursday 1/22/09 through Monday 1/26/09. The hotel is located right off the highway, next to the Fashion Outlet Mall, but don’t let that fool you, it is not noise in anyway.

The décor inside and out is very tastefully done with the typical things you expect to see in the Southwest.

When we arrived we were able to use a luggage cart for our things. So many motels and hotels have let this convenience go by the way side - nothing worse then starting your vacation lugging your stuff around or having to make several trips, just to get settled in.
We asked for a quite room, so we were given one on the third floor at the end of a hall, and yes it was quite and had a great view!

Our room was a very comfortable queen size bed with a hide a bed love seat, large flat screen TV, refrigerator with a freezer large enough to actually put stuff in, a microwave, a safe and a coffee pot that made enough coffee for two regular coffee mugs. The bath room had a shower stall with great water pressure. There was internet hook up in the room also.

A full breakfast was included with our room. We had items like scrambled eggs Florentine, potatoes, sausage, bacon, sausage gravy & biscuits, bagels, English muffins, Cereal, various juices. The Chief changed the menu slightly every day. You have to try his salsa! Yummm!!

The staff is very nice and helpful. They have coupons for the museums and information on the local’s favorites for eating out.

This is Thee Place to stay in Santa Fe!!

We were graciously greeted and were pleasantly surprised by how well-decorated and cozy the lobby was. They gave us an extremely nice room. It had a rounded wall for the shower and the end tables were tall, round and gorgeous. The room smelled good and the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast buffet was delicious with sausage and two choices of eggs plus lots of other offerings.
The pool and hot tub were beautiful, but we didn't use them. The laundry room had a snack area to heat items in. The exercise room was good. The staff was very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We happened to get a very good off-season rate so we were very happy.

The room was very clean (if a little musty smelling), so the housekeepers deserve some praise. But the rest of the hotel was very tired-looking and could do with some new carpet. Though judging from the other hotels I saw around, it doesn't look like there's any great value in Santa Fe.

Negatives: The front desk staff seemed to be mute. The exercise room was about three barely working machines. Breakfast was late and not real appealing.

It is the furthest hotel from Santa Fe on Cerillos Rd (maybe 15 minutes drive to the Plaza), but overall it's a reasonable base camp to explore Santa Fe - just don't expect the hotel stay to be a key part of your vacation experience.

Nice price in an excellent location. The room was small but efficient. Granite countertops. Shower, no bath. Breakfast included in the price. Friendly staff. Internet access. Laundry facilities available.

Two of us stayed at the Inn at Santa Fe when arriving late into Santa Fe. The location is good if you are traveling north on I-25, and the place is very nice. The room was very clean and updated. The breakfast was basic but free. They were working on a new breakfast room while we were there, so maybe it will be better in the future.

We felt like we got a deal for a nice, clean hotel with everything you need while traveling. The hotel is several miles from downtown, so if you want to avoid the crowd on your way in, stop here.

We liked the friendly staff and the NEWLY RENOVATED rooms. The plasma tvs were awesome ( we had adjoining rooms) and the breakfast was great. This FORMER Sleep Inn is not near "The Plaza" but it is a great value for the quality of the rooms and staff. Eat somewhere else, or bring take out back to the room ( Blue Corn Cafe is about a mile drive south located at Cerillos/Rodeo and has good food, good drinks and live music most nights. Applebees, Red Lobster, Pizza Hut and Flying Tortilla are nearby as well). ENJOY!!
