We stayed in this hotel 10/5/09 to 10/7/09 during the Balloon Fiesta. We had a hotel in Albuquerque but visited the Santa Fe/Taos region for a couple of days. The location of the hotel was very convenient. The main problem we had was that my sister was given someone else's room. When she tried to get in the room, her key would not work and finally someone opened the door and said it was his room. The desk clerk was very surprised when we told her that. Other than that, everything was fine. Not the cleanest room but good for the value. It's definitely not a roach motel but there were a few bugs. We did enjoy Santa Fe and it is a beautiful town. Would have liked to have spent more time there.

This is a well managed clean and quiet hotel with quick access to freeway. It is a two story complex with several smaller buildings- like an apartment complex with an adjacent office building, good breakfast and friendly staff. A great value!

We stayed 5 nights. This is the perfect spot for a long-term stay. You have a kitchenette with a little dining bar and stools, a desk and a nice sized closet. The continental breakfast was a nice feature even though you could cook in your room. There were dishes and cookware, paper towels, a full sized refrigerator and microwave, a dishwasher, and a two burner electric cooktop built-in. The punched-tin light fixtures were quite charming. The beds were comfortable. We were on the ground floor and had people above us and rarely heard them. There are a couple small things that need fixing and/or updating but nothing really to detract from the value of this room.

Oh, and there is a grocery store just around the corner, a Walgreen's across the street from that, and a great little mexican restaurant within walking distance. There are some medical facilities nearby and if you were there for cancer treatments or for a family member who was hospitalized, this would be the perfect spot to stay.

The front desk people were different every day and each of them was very friendly and helpful. There was a laundry room and large ice maker for guests' use. The laundry room had typical laundromat fees and the ice maker was free. (There was an icemaker in the fridge but it was out of order when we were there.)

The only drawback is that the parking is not outside your door, but several doors down, which is difficult if you have a lot of luggage. Some luggage carts for guest use would be nice. Also there is no pool or hottub.

Santa Fe seems to be a city where things are typically hard to find (poor signage) and this place is no exception. There is no sign on the main road to help you find it, unless you're coming from the south. The entrance is about 2 blocks off the highway and poorly marked. You need to turn east off St. Francis at Walgreen's and then turn south at the stoplight, which is about 2 blocks east of Walgreen's.

I found this hotel while browsing the internet and they were running a special. We stayed for eight nights and had a very restful sleep- the beds were very comfortable. We had our own kitchenette and dining area, and a very nice bathroom. Fresh towels every day, although we did opt to save water for a couple of days. We cooked up huge breakfast every morning and then set out on our day. This also saved us money, and gave us energy. It was like a little apartment, and very cozy.
The down side was the rug in the room was a bit stained and dirty looking, I think they need replacing.
Also one of the burners on the stove in the kitchen didnt work and we called the desk right away and they said the maintenance man would come right along. When we left it still wasnt working and i dont know if the maintenance man Ever came to look at it. Replace the maintenance man when you replace the rugs......But other than that it was Great.

If you are planning to be in Santa Fe for more than one night, stay at the Santa Fe Suites. Short, easy drive to the Plazza/downtown area. Rates are exceptional for an extended stay hotel. Walk to full service grocery for microwaveable meals or hot/cold deli. Full size refrigerator-freezer. Full set of dishes-untensils, dishwasher, two burner cooktop, counter with two bar stools. Free light breakfast in lobby area. Staff friendly and helpful. A great value!
