“Very Pleasant Stay”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

We stayed in Santa Fe for one night, en route to another destination, and since we're Marriott fans we chose Residence Inn. We arrived close to 11PM and the front desk staffer was pleasant and efficient. He first assigned us a king-bedded room as we had reserved, but when we asked about the location of the laundry room, he moved us to a two-queen room very very close to the laundry. Much appreciated by us (didn't want to walk a distance late at night several times with laundry). He even made change for quarters for the machines! I don't use hotel self-service laundries often, but this one was fine: 3 washers and 4 dryers (with one clearly marked as out of service). The room itself was comfortable, with a newly-remodeled kitchen (full size stove, microwave, full size fridge, dishwasher, granite, stainless) and a Southwestern touch in the decor. Interestingly, the mattresses didn't seem to be the usual Marriott VERY comfy bedding, but they were acceptable. And although this was a downstairs/first floor room, it had about 5 steps that we had to haul the luggage up.

Room Tip: It's a large complex, with many walkways and many different layouts. Ask if you have a special...

I've stayed at many Residence Inns around the country, and I haven't found one I didn't like. However, this Residence Inn is several notches above the others.

First, we checked in at night and found the lock to the room didn't work. They sent an employee right away and she said that she didn't know how to fix it and the mechanic was gone for the day. She recommended us to get another room so we went to the front desk and explained the issue. They immediately upgraded us to the Penthouse Suite.

Now that night was fantastic. The Penthouse Suite had two stories, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a full size kitchen and living area. I told my family that maybe we should stay in Santa Fe for a little while longer!

The breakfast was yummy, but my only complaint is that the organization of the breakfast area is chaotic. It seems the dining area was designed for aesthetics and not function.

Overall this is probably one of the better places to stay in Santa Fe. It is not that far from downtown either.

We came to Santa Fe for Mother's Day weekend to attend a wedding. This was a great location at a great price. It's like having your own small apartment. We had 2 double beds, pull out couch, small kitchen and bathroom. The breakfast they provided was great--simple (eggs, different meats, cereal, breads, etc) but good! You are outside the center of town but not by much (maybe a few miles). I would stay here again.

Me and my family had to stay here for about a week last month because our mother was in the hospital. This hotel is RIGHT next to St. Vincent and made it really comfortable to be close by. Our mother passed away in the hospital. The staff here was so gracious and understanding that they extended our reservation to help accommodate us even though we were staying on a discounted rate. Thanks for everything.

Enjoyed our stay and location. Close enough to center of town but far enough away to enjoy other sightseeing. The front desk was friendly and helpful with bringing me a toothbrush because I forgot mine at the previous hotel. Plus, my daughter forget her portable DVD charger and we called the hotel and found it and then sent it to us. Always like the Marriott and their customer service. I will be staying there again on my next visit to Santa Fe.

We stayed here while attending a conference in downtown Santa Fe. Although it is about 15 minutes from downtown, the commute was not bad. The rooms were spacious, comfortable and clean. The hotel serves a hot breakfast, as well as appetizers in the evening.

Room Tip: Get a room on the second floor facing southwest; the sunsets fro the balcony are tremendous!
