“Very comfortable, adequate accomodations”
Reviewed October 14, 2012 via mobile

Nice hotel, great location. Only problem-- NO cell phone service in the hotel if you have AT&T (nearest cell phone tower is in Albuquerque). Try and NOT get a room on the first floor, as it is actually the basement.

Thank you for your kind comments. Unfortunately Santa Fe is somewhat famous for its poor cell service and we are working with AT&T to get two new towers in our area. We are very excited!

The Hotel is built on a hill and so you are right the first floor rooms are not below ground but rather on the first floor ... it is confusing because our lobby is located on the second floor. The advantage of the first floor rooms is that half of them face the pool and have walk-out access to the area.

Thank you again .. we look forward to your next visit

Mostly enjoyed the stay here. We stayed in the renovated section which had a comfortable bed and great decor/lighting, particularly in the bathroom. Ideal location, just a short walk to the Plaza and restaurants. One complaint was on the fridge. It had a loud buzzing sound whenever the compressor kicked on. I spoke with the front desk about the issue and was told that it would be fixed. Nothing changed on the matter. We turned the fan on fulltime to cover up the noise. Hotel did have a nice exercise facility.

Room Tip: Be aware that part of the hotel has been renovated. I can't speak to what the other part is lik...

The Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza is Not on the plaza, however, the hotel is in a great location. If you walk a short block up and cross with the light, the downtown area is easily walkable. The front desk staff is very polite, but not particularly knowledgeable. If you stop at the info site between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, there are a number of excellent guidebooks available. Our room was a nice size and there was a small fridge in it. That said, the housekeeping is spotty. Some days the rooms will be furnished with soap, etc. - other days not. Both my spouse and I suffered from respiratory issues the moment that we entered the room. When we noticed the layer of grime and dust that covered inside cabinets, all along the walls and the fact that part of the insulation was coming out of the wall, we were not surprised. This hotel has a lot of possibility, but needs a serious facelift.

Room Tip: The third floor is quiet and has a nice view of the pool.

Just a few blocks from the Santa Fe plaza, the location is very convenient for sight-seeing and restaurants. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable. We had a good nights sleep and a pleasant stay.

The best thing I can say is that the hotel is in a great location. The staff were pleasant though not particularly friendly or helpful. I felt that most of them viewed customers as a bother rather than as a valued guest. On check in the young man was very helpful, however, on the two other occasions where I needed assistance I felt the young lady was put out and I was disturbing her.
The room was noisy and there were annoying sounds coming out of the walls behind the sink and in the ceilings. The in room coffee horrible. Get rid of those styra foam cups, no one uses them any more. We stay in Hiltons, Hamptons and Hilton Garden Inns when we travel. This was our most unpleasant experience. I am glad there was so much to do in Santa Fe that we could stay out of our room as much as possible.

Room Tip: Third floor levels were very noisy

I am sincerely sorry the room did not meet your expectations .. we are finishing a complete renovation of the Hilton and the final product will be something very special. Additionally I am sorry that the service was inconsistent at best. We will take these comments to heart and re-visit our service training. We are changing the in-room coffee and trying a couple new products ... thank you for your feedback as we find the best solution for our guests.

I look forward to the opportunity to show you the new hotel ... and the new level of service we are capable of delivering.

We got a good rate in a nice hotel in a great location. We liked the room, it had a comfortable bed and was nice and clean. The hotel is a former historic hacienda. Excellent breakfast buffet in the restaurant downstairs, free for gold and diamond members. We also enjoyed the executive lounge on the third floor. We were just a couple of blocks from the plaza. The restaurant even re-heated a quesadilla that we couldn't finish at lunch. We will stay here again on our next visit.
