Attending a convention, I arrived at 11:30 a.m. for a 3 p.m. check-in. Even at that early hour, front desk staff employees were encouraging our attendees to accept accommodations different from those they reserved or to take a comp room at a distant hotel. Kind friends traded rooms with us (our king for two doubles) and the remainder of our stay was extremely pleasant. The room was beautifully appointed and comfortable.

Room Tip: If you are not a hiker, ask for a room near the elevators

Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We are thrilled that you enjoyed the property and we would like to apologize about any relocation issues that you may have encountered. We were in fact not relocating people if they did not want, but we were offering free rooms at another property if they would like. No pressured conversations, but just an offer if people were interested. Again, we apologize if this was confusing or frustrating, but we are very glad that you enjoyed your stay with us.
Thank you again for your review and we hope to see you back in Santa Fe very soon!

Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Every person we encountered from the door to door was helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The rooms and esthetics of the hotel were amazing and had beautiful views. The room was comfortable and provided a great night of rest. We even had a spa treatment in the hotel when we first arrived which was extremely relaxing and refreshing. It is a great location that is an easy walk to all the wonders of Santa Fe. We would definitely return again and again. Great for a romantic weekend away.

We stayed with this hotel in mid March 2013 and had a very nice hotel experience. If you do stay, the sunset view rooms are on the working side of the hotel, we stayed about center of the hotel and were 2 floors above the loading dock. I wont lie, it was a bit louder then I like. The service was great. The room service came from the Old House restaurant, down stairs. Not bad pricing. I would stay here again.

Room Tip: Stay away from the sunset view rooms. A lot of noise

we are thrilled that you had such a wonderful time with us in March! we do pride ourselves on our wonderful views and we are very glad that you appreciated them. I will speak with our receiving team to see what we can do about the noise on the loading dock. These are not the things that we like to hear, and this should be done at a later time to not disrupt our guest's stays. Thank you very much for your comments and we hope to see you back in Santa Fe soon!

Excellent stay at this property. Staff was attentive and eager to assist and please. They provided the type of service we expect when we travel. Been to a lot of great properties and this one is right up there w/the St. Regis at Monarch Beach a few years ago. Matter of fact, out of all the top places we've stayed (Including the Waldor-Astoria) Eldorado makes the top 3 for us. Rooms were exceptional in all areas. Clean, comfortable, quiet and did I say "comfortable"? The bed was super luxurious! Firm but not hard, soft but not mushy. The doors to the suite must be noise proof because we heard not a sound in the halls. A great place to stay and the food, well, it was delicious and pleasing. The atmosphere was superb! (Didn't use the Spa)

Room Tip: The place to stay in Santa Fe!

A splendid stay in a comfortable, welcoming, and conveniently located hotel. The hotel staff were warm and friendly - Paymon at the front desk and John the bellman provided great service. The valet attendants were always very speedy retrieving my car and asked if I needed directions each time (nice if you're a visitor to the city). My room was spacious and impeccably clean. The common areas are huge (lounge just off the lobby) and a nice place to relax. There is a fitness room with treadmills, bikes, and weight equipment - I was often the only one using the fitness room in the morning, so I had the place to myself. The hotel is easy to get to from the airport (about 20 mins drive) and a few minutes' walk from the Plaza, St. Francis Cathedral, and the Old Santa Fe Trail. Canyon Road (the long stretch of high-end shops and galleries) is about a 15-min walk away. For some gorgeous turquoise jewelry check out Ortega's on the Plaza. I did not eat at the hotel restaurant, but I did visit the Agave lounge a few times - nice atmosphere and a lengthy list of tequila libations. In keeping with the brilliant blue turquoise found in much of the region's jewelry, try the Turquoise margarita with blue curacao. I recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again on my next visit. My only regret is that I didn't have time to visit the Nidah spa.

Thank you so much for your great response! Paymon is great and we are glad that he took such great care of you. We are constantly striving to be Santa Fe's favorite hotel and it seems that we have hit that mark with your stay. We hope you come back soon and please let us know if we can help with your reservation with the spa. Susan and her team there are amazing and your experience with them will be nothing short of amazing!

Have a great week and thank you again for your review of our property!
