My husband, his parents and I just stayed three nights at this hotel and we all loved it. We even brought our dog and he loved it too. The staff was amazing, so nice and eager to help with any needs we had. The rooms were so comfortable and loved the corner fireplace, very romantic. The maids were all great too, never any attitude about having a dog they loved our dog, which made me feel even more at home. Would stay here again anytime.
Easy walk to the plaza where all the action is. Perfect spot.

Room Tip: spa rooms are awesome, they have wood burning fireplace,

This was our first time in Santa Fe. The hotel was OK and in a good location, but I expected a little more from the room given the price. We stayed there from September 21-23.

Location -- On San Francisco Street only a short walk to the plaza. Very convenient to be able to walk anywhere we wanted to go.

Room -- We were on the second floor overlooking San Fancisco Street...well it should have overlooked the street except that the facade of the entryway below is higher than the 2nd floor windows so we had a view of nothing but the back of the facade. The alarm clock was not plugged in. Once I plugged it in, there was no indication how to set the correct time. After a while I realized that if you unscrew the back cover, you can access the buttons to set the time. Also, the bathroom floor had broken floor tiles and cracked grout on the walls falling out into the shower. Everything appeared clean, but the condition of the tiles/grout make you wonder about the overall upkeep of the rooms. You have to specifically ask the front desk to have the towels replaced when housekeeping comes, otherwise you will be left with wet towels for the next day. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself was otherwise very nice.

Parking -- A little annoying at $22 per night. You do have in & out priveleges, but if you're only going to use the car once a day (or not at all which we didn't) you might want to consider parking at the Municipal garage right across the street for $10 a day.

Concierge -- I forget her name, but she was very helpful in suggesting things to see and do in the area. She told us about a walking tour of Santa Fe that left from the hotel lobby which we really enjoyed. And she also made us a reservation for dinner at The Shed which had great margaritas and delicious dinners.

You certainly can not go wrong staying here. I just think that I may try someplace else the next time I'm in Sata Fe.

Thank you for taking the time to post on Trip Advisor. We are sorry that the alarm clock in your room was not plugged in! We are currently working on updating our bathrooms and are sorry to read that your bathroom was one that was not yet updated. Thank you for your compliments about our concierge, we will be sure to pass that along to her! We hope you enjoy your next visit to Santa Fe.

I have stayed in several hotels and resorts in the Santa Fe area. While they all have their perks, this is by far the most convenient to Old Town shopping and eating. The building is old and the walls are thick. Reception for cell service and internet service is spotty at best. the doorman is very helpful in getting guests to the spots that will be best for their cell service provider. This hotel has a fridge in each room & safe as well as a comfortable bed. Views are not the best and there seems to be some construction ongoing but it is a very nice place if you do not want to worry about parking in the Old Town area.

Room Tip: ask for upper floor west view

Thank you so much for your review. We're glad that you find our hotel most convenient on the plaza! Please accept our apologies for the problems experienced with internet connectivity and cell phone service. AT&T has bad cell phone service in Santa Fe. We hope to see you back in Santa Fe soon.

Attentive staff, nice room, great bar! Unfortunately I was unable to dine in the well reviewed Old House dining room because it was closed for a private event. However, the Agave Bar was terrific and the tacos were a nice treat. Room was clean and very pleasant; wonderful bed. Location is very accessible to local restaurants/shops. Parking $$$$

Thanks for your post. We apologize that the Old House Restaurant was fully booked for Wine & Chile Fiesta during your stay, although we are glad to read that the rest of your stay was nice and that you enjoyed our new Agave Lounge. We hope you decide to stay at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa again in the future.

Spent the weekend and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was beautiful and immaculate! The room was spacious and comfortable -- had all the amenities we needed and more. The food was outstanding -- enjoyed great appetizers, desserts and drinks in the Agave lounge. Plus breakfast in the dining room was great -- recommend the homemade granola and the frittata. The service was good too -- everyone was extremely helpful and kind. We enjoyed being able to walk to nearly everything. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We traveled to Santa Fe for a get away weekend and had the good fortune to stay at the El Dorado hotel very close to the historic Santa Fe square. The hotel had a great location, wonderful service (concierge very helpful) and best of all a great dining room. You must include breakfast in your itinerary if you stay at the hotel. They make the very best "new mexico
frittata". It is one of those memorable dishes. We also ate smal plates in the bar after attending a concert, good food at 11:00pm is often hard to come by but the El Dorado delivered.

The location of the Eldorado Hotel is terrific and I like the rooms a lot. Both times I have stayed, I have had a view of the mountains and a very large room. The room and bed are very comfortable. I had breakfast included in my package and the food was excellent. I was glad it was included because it is expensive, but very good quality. There is valet parking at $22 a night, but that is typical of Santa Fe. I don't like valet parking, but they do a good job. They are friendly and efficient. There are a couple of employees who think that "guest services" means that the guests should do the employees' work. Hopefully additional training and experience will make them more acceptable employees. My dogs were allowed to stay in the room and loved the King Size Bed. They made a lot of new friends. I hope the Eldorado smooths out the kinks they have in their service areas because I really, really want to like this hotel and want to return. Kudos to Sean and Karen -- thanks for your kindness.
