We stayed here on 28/5/2013 for one night whilst on Route 66..
Room cost $95 plus taxes which totalled $109.43 including Breakfast.

The location for this hotel was excellent, just a short walk from the centre of Santa Fe which is a really sweet place to visit.. Got to see the oldest house in USA...

The room was basic, clean and tidy, a bit noisy outside although we slept well.. wifi was very hit and miss, hotel staff were very good and tried to get it right ; this was an issue for us as we were planning our Route 66 each evening.. We were able to use the computer in the reception however... Not ideal but better than nothing...

The staff here were really lovely and friendly..

Breakfast was great... Plentiful..
Coffee and hot chocolate was available 24hrs .. Better than the room coffee so I am told, I don't drink it.. What was really lovely here, they supplied cookies throughout the 24hrs too.. They appeared to be homemade, definitely a thumbs up ...

I chose this hotel because the Inn was said to be close to down town, and it offered a free shuttle. The hotel itself is nice - but SMALL!! Our room was tiny for a king, especially compared to other places we have been staying at. Two females with 2 weeks of luggage (there were no 2 queen bed rooms left when I booked) make it for cramped quarters. Every night I found flying ants in our bathroom.

The shuttle was the best part of this stay. The pool is ridiculous - so small that 5 people in it would make it crowded. Unfortunately when we were there a large group of senior citizens were in for an opera event. They crowded the dining area every morning for breakfast, sitting and chatting and reading their papers so that there was no room for incoming guests to sit and eat. Wound up going outside to the few tables set up in the island of the parking lot - NOT convenient, especially if you'd like a refill of coffee. My Sister-in-law liked the fitness room and the fresh lemon water available daily. I felt the rooms overpriced for the second-class feel to them; thin sheets, non-absorbant towels, etc. I doubt I would stay here again if we come back to Santa Fe; there are way too many other choices in hotels to come back to someplace that caters to very large groups.

Santa Fe Sage Inn is located on the periphery of downtown. It's reasonably priced and is in walking distance from a few restaurants.I have nothing bad to say about it.The place is a fairly standard motel and if you've never been to Santa Fe, you might want to stay closer to downtown.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate you staying with us. As noted we are just six blocks from the main plaza but our location in the Railyard District is quite convenient to galleries, shops and restaurants. Our free shuttle runs on the hour to the plaza for those guests who prefer not to make the walk.

We enjoyed our stays before but not so much this time. Check-in clerk was excellent, efficient, and helpful. Rooms are small and seem to be going down hill. Coverlet was stained, sheets felt thin and whimpy. Everything felt dingy. TV cubboard woudn't stay shut. Cute chair is in keeping with decor but not comfortable.
We enjoy the location as you can walk to dinner and if you're a walker, can even walk to the plaza or take shuttle.
Breakfast is simple. We opted for Starbucks.
Check-out clerk couldn't get a reciept for at least 15 minutes and we didn't want to waste driving time. As an after thought, he should have offered to write us out one.
They didn't measure up to our previous experiences, sad to say.

Room Tip: Don't know if larger rooms are available but may want to ask for larger one. There's a food...

We booked this hotel because they were pet friendly and we had our two Bichons with us. Also, the location sounded good. We had a very small room, and the bathroom is badly in need of upgrading. The breakfast was below average, with gummy muffins, etc. The only thing going for it is its location, which is within walking distance of the town square. The front desk personnel were very cordial and helpful, but we probably won't be staying there again.

One of the best things about this place is the free shuttle service - we REALLY appreciated this. Stephen at the front desk was very helpful and amicable. However, in terms of the value for money - I am unconvinced. The price per night was almost twice the Motel 8 across the street but I think it was about the same quality in terms of rooms.
The plumbing was problematic in our room - we had to fix the toilet by hand each time we flushed it in order to keep it from running. The shower was also broken - half of the water continued to flow out of the faucet head while the shower was on. I reported both of these problems to the person at the front desk in the morning and he simply shrugged and said it was a busy time of year.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. I am glad that Steven's service was top-notch. I apologize that the plumbing was not working properly in your room, certainly this is something that should have been taken care of without fail during your stay with us. I would like to let you know that we have completed renovations on quite a few rooms and are still in the process of upgrading the remainder of the property. I hope that you would consider booking with us one more time so that we can show you an upgraded experience. Please feel free to contact me directly if you choose to make future reservations.

Just stayed at the hotel last weekend. It was a bad start; they assigned us a king room and I booked a 2 queen room. My friend had to sleep on the floor as they were full and don't have roll away beds. In the am, the manager Larry immediately fixed it, gave us the correct room and refunded our first night. The other highlight was that they had a shuttle that went directly to the folk art market and the staff were great. Breakfast was adequate, as was the pool. The rooms are very small and in need of renovation. But for the price, it was good. I would stay there again because of the price and convenience.
