Description: Housed in an iconic old adobe building in the center of Santa Fe, Sazon gives its patrons a taste of what the authentic Mexico, with its fastest growing ethnic cuisine in terms of popularity, is all about. The artwork is stunning. Starting with a massive chandelier in the main hallway, custom made in Guadalajara and featuring over 16 different lamps, to the furniture and artwork, it is obvious that special attention has been given to the interior decoration. The oil on canvass paintings are beautiful, featuring artists from Mexico City, Guadalajara and Cabo, Mexico. The dining room is warm and inviting with lots of space so you don't feel crowded, but also plenty of romantic and private spots where one can be wrapped in their own cocoon. There is a back room that is part of the dining room but can also be sectioned off for private parties. Lighting has been well thought out and highlights the art without being intrusive. The bar is stunning exhibiting a great sensitivity to the Santa Fe adobe style yet bringing its own clean and refreshed look. The bar, made from recycled parapara wood from Ecuador, houses the largest selection of tequila and mescal in Santa Fe. Bartenders know their craft as evidenced by the signature cocktails featuring tequila and mescal which are subtle and seductive. Try a Sazonrita which is Mezcal, Patron Citronge, fresh lime, agave, and muddled cucumber over ice. It will make a believer out of you when it comes to mescal!

Fabulous food! Everything we got was some of the best we have eaten in New Mexico. We visit Sante Fe regularly and this is the best food we have had. We had the Homegrown margarita style drink and it was amazing with great depth. I got Coyoacan, described as shrimp enchiladas (not really an enchilada) and it was loaded with shrimp and a fabulous sauce. My wife had the De Almendras, an arugula salad with balsamic, also fabulous and Sopa D’Amore, the chef specialty soup, also tremendous! We don’t usually get desert but had Volcan de Choc, a chocolate cake and Princessa fruit and cream cake, marvelous again. Everything was absolutely delicious. We will go again.

Everything about this experience was great. It was a vibrant yet elegant dining room with artwork on the walls. The staff was friendly and personable while being knowledgable. The food was unique and delicious. I'd highly recommend going and trying the chef's signature soup and the signature dessert (an ice cream where each bite will come with several flavors as you taste it). We'll definitely go back!

One of the most interesting & delicious places to eat. The setting is beautiful & comfortable. The food is amazing, interesting & unique. It's hard not to want to try everything on the menu. Don't miss the moles! Try the flights of mezcal.

have had multiple great dinners here, usually a special occasion. neat experience with multiple moles and tiny tortillas to start. the soup de amore is a required starter. have had two wonderful waiters, the manager is on the floor to oversee and the chef makes the rounds to chat and visit. ain't no parking but walkable to all the downtown hotels and parking lots.
