A great Italian restaurant from a Mexican chef/owner, who previously worked in an Italian restaurant. Locals love it, prices are good, and one can order takeout.

Stopped here for lunch this weekend for the first time & what a great find!

We had the Clam Chowder, salad & Lasagna. All were excellent. Lasagna was the best we've had in Santa Fe, and we've ordered this at much pricier restaurants.

Service was excellent, something which is not always easy to find in Santa Fe.

It's a casual place, off the beaten path. Looks like it was formerly a fast food restaurant, but they've modified it into a very comfortable family style place. We will definitely eat here again & would recommend it to anyone for a casual night out.

Moved to Santa Fe in 2007. Originally from NYC metro area. Sicilian family roots. The food is great; the services usually great, the desserts are great. Small space, but I like hearing the kitchen staff noises - reminds me of home. Atmosphere totally unpretentious but homey. Been served mostly by the same staff since landing here. Very friendly. Lasagna in outrageous. Canolis are from heaven. Going there tonight with highschool friends from back east...not worried.

Go out of the way and find Piccolino Italian, you will not be sorry. I have been going there for years and NEVER had a bad meal or a bad experience. Real yummy genuine Italian fare at very modest prices. Helpful, smiling efficient wait staff. Always changing daily specials.

We went here last night with another couple and loved the place. Simple, unpretentious Italian food just like I used to eat when I was a kid in New Jersey. I started with the fried zucchini and calimari and they were light and tasty. The calimai were absolutely fresh. I had the Cioppino and, again, the seafood was totally fresh and delicious. My table mates seemed to love their dishes too. I hope you will read the negative griping reviews here and decide not to go to Piccolino, because the place is already packed to the gills every night. Just one thought though in connection with the bad reviews. If this family friendly restaurant is so bad, why are all the locals flocking to it? Oh, and the prices are pretty darn good too!
