“Nice Place for a Getaway with a Couple of Caveats”
Reviewed July 3, 2013

The tiny bathroom had dented and stained vinyl and a towel rack right over the toilet. This spoiled an otherwise good room.
The cute little gas fireplace on the wall is a nice touch.
We missed the full plate breakfast since we were only there on Sunday morning. For a weekend getaway, that is a disappointment.
The staff was very helpful and attentive staff.

Hello hello!

Thank you for offering a review of your stay, we really do appreciate each and every comment we receive. I agree 110% on the more pokey of the old bathrooms. We have big plans to renovate all the bathrooms once high season has ended...hopefully when we next see you, you will be delighted by the changes. Thank you also for the comment on the Sunday breakfast. Our reasoning behind making Sunday breakfast more 'grab-and-go' is that the majority of our guests are checking out on Sunday and appreciate the convenience of something they can eat on the run to the airport or their next destination. Perhaps we can offer something more 'sit down' as a secondary option on Sundays.

Thank you again for your review and we hope to see you again soon!
Safe travels and take care,
Rebecca Martinson

What a lovely place to stay. The inn is a short walk to downtown, museums and restaurants.
The decoration is electic southwestern, with each room different. There are a variety of outside and inside places to read, reflect and relax. Our room was comfortable and spotless.
Since I am a real fruit lover, I would have liked to see a more varied selection at breakfast.
I highly recommend staying here.
PS I am sure Rebecca, the owner, was a beautiful maid of honor in her sister's wedding.

Room Tip: Our room on the back, upstairs was very quiet and a back door opened to the balcony.

A real and welcome change from the usual chains.all the rooms are individual. Ours was spacious, well provisined and quiet with lovely furnishings and decorations.room had shared balcony.breakfast included-cereals, waffles, oatmeal, pastries, toast as well as juice and coffee.very friendly staff.very convenient for city centre- 5 minutes walk away and very handy free car parking.hotel changed hands during stay. I hope the new owners follow the style and principles of the previous owner.

Room Tip: Choose bedroom at rear so avoiding any noise from road.

My wife and I stayed at the Inn for six nights. It's located right on the edge from the main downtown area (it was a quick and easy walk along a few blocks from the Inn to the plaza in front of the Palace of the Governors). The staff at the Inn are incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast served every morning was delicious. The accommodations were very comfortable. The free parking was so convenient. We liked everything about the place.

After our stay, I realized that I left my sandals behind. We contacted them to see if they were still there and that we would pay to mail them back. They shipped them back to us at no charge.

Whenever we get back to Santa Fe, we will definitely try to stay there again!

This inn is a pleasant walk into the town square .Rooms are clean and a well sized and there is a very comfortable ambience to the layout. Rooms on the street side can be a little noisy with the window open. Across the road is a very pleasant walk up to the old fort and lookout with some interesting historical plaques to read along the way.If travelling to the airport from the inn be prepared to pay at least $50 US for the fare, quite expensive. Also be advised that if checking in after 6.00pm reception is unattended, and you are required to make a phone all to obtain an access code. This is awkward if you don't have an American phone.

Hello and thank you for your review.
We are a very small, family owned bed and breakfast and unlike a large hotel, we are unable to staff our desk 24 hours a day like a large hotel might be able to. We make every effort to ensure that our late arrival guests have the ability to get into their room and unfortunately, the easiest way to ensure this is via phone call to give the access codes to our lockbox. We apologize sincerely for any inconvenience and hope that you can understand our position from a business standpoint. Best wishes for your future travels and take care.

When shopping for accommodations in Santa Fe, we were hooked by the images and descriptions online of this lovely small Inn. When we arrived, we found everything to be just as described, even more so. The Inn was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean, with pretty common areas and spacious, well-maintained rooms. Located an easy walk from the plaza and Canyon Road, it was convenient to all the more popular Santa Fe locations. Jess was managing the property, and his recommendations for dining and activity options proved spot-on. Breakfast was a treat, with hearty, made-to-order waffles as well as the more traditional B&B fare. Overall, a great place to stay. During our stay we learned that the Inn was in the process of changing ownership -- hopefully the new owners will continue to operate the facility in the same manner as when we stayed!

I was lucky to find this inn on Trip Advisor before coming to Santa Fe. We stayed 2 nights in May, and I guess it had just been bought by new owners. Well I couldn't see any issues with the management or the hotel because of the change. In fact, the hotel is beautiful, the room we stayed in was perfect, well decorated and the bed was super comfy. Breakfast consisted of a variety of baked goods freshly made, fruit, other items and homemade waffles.

The only thing I will say is that the place has a long history and the building is older, so you can hear the floor boards creak above you and the water running in other rooms around the hotel. This doesn't bother me much but if you are a really light sleeper who is planning on sleeping in you may want to bring ear plugs.

Other than that the room and stay was great and thanks to Jess for all his help in our restaurant selections!

Greetings and thank for taking the time to provide such a thorough and thoughtful review of our new Inn. I agree that our historic building has a lot of character-- and some of that character is a bit noisy! We hope to see you again soon so you can witness some of our changes and upgrades.

Take care and happy travels,
