“Another wonderful stay at El Paradero”
Reviewed January 4, 2014

This time we stayed in the Pino suite, which is not in the main building. It and the Ortiz suite are in a little building 2 lots away. Each has a living room with a wood-burning fireplace and queen sleep sofa, a bedroom w/a queen bed, a pocket kitchen (2 burners, sink, fridge, microwave, dishware) and bathroom. Pino faces a small street. Ortiz is nicer because it faces into a little porch and yard with outdoor table/chairs. The suite was well-heated, and the inn provided a space heater as well, which we didn't need. The bathroom had a good supply of hot water. The pull-out sofa bed was comfortable for 1, but might not be for 2. There was a little street noise, and I could hear creaking floorboards and other muffled noises from the Ortiz suite living room. This time we got to partake of afternoon tea. Each day they provide 3 different homebaked pastries - very tasty!

My husband and I recently stayed a few nights at El Paradero (thanks to another hotel's error) and we could not have been more pleased! EVERYTHING was fantastic! Sue Jett is the most warm and welcoming Innkeeper. The rooms are beautifully decorated and definitely make you feel as if you are in the heart of Santa Fe. The breakfasts are fabulous as are the cooks and Kim, the waitress, all whom make the start of each day wonderful! And the location is fantastic as well...just a short pleasant walk two or three blocks north to the plaza is perfect! We were able to walk to the Farmer's and Artisans markets at the railyard, and to dinner or to meet friends for drinks and didn't have to worry about driving...plus we knew our parking was very secure. Thank you Sue (and Paul) for the very best hospitality! We will definitely be back and are recommending your B&B to all of our friends.

Room Tip: Room 12 has the best views of the Mountains!

Everything was delightful! The location was perfect, an easy walk to the Plaza, Railyard District, and Capitol. Since parking in Santa Fe is limited, it was nice to just leave the car safely at the B&B. At this historic inn, the breakfasts and afternoon snacks were unbelievably good! The staff was friendly, and helpful in giving us dinner suggestions and directions. We were two cousins on this trip and they have rooms that they can turn the king size bed into two twin beds. Very comfortable. I'd stay here again and recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

We recently stayed at this wonderful B&B on our trip to New Mexico. Since it was our first time visiting Santa Fe, we were more than thrilled that El Pardero was so conveniently located. Our room (#4) was very cute, with a gas Kiva to make it even cozier. It was a little smaller than we would have liked, but charming all the same. The breakfast in the morning was so yummy, as well as the cookies left out in the afternoon. Sue recommended the restaurant around the corner for dinner that night, Martin's, and it was excellent, plus we could just stroll over from our room. We enjoyed the beautifully decorated common rooms, and all the great photography on the walls. This place really is very charming, as well as our hosts.
We would come back and stay if we get to Santa Fe again in the future.

We stayed for the first time in this charming B&B. Breakfast was always wonderful and filling. We loved the quiet but clean rooms and lovely common areas. Their dog, Wizard, was a bonus for us. This was convenient to the downtown plaza, within walking distance of both Canyon Road, and the new and upcoming Railyard area. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in Santa Fe for a few days!!

We stayed in the Pino Suite, which was nice and private. The room was clean with a nice size bathroom. The fireplace was cozy! The breakfast was wonderful. Charming service and stay. It was a nice walk to the Plaza, and we didn't have to use our vehicle at all to get around. I would recommend this bed and breakfast.
