“Our stay was too short!”
Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

On our recent return from an Arizona vacation we stopped one night at El Paradero. What a gem! I have been to Santa Fe many times, this is my first time feeling totally immersed in the culture. We arrived after check in but this B&B has a very smooth after hours check in process. Our room was comfortable and wonderfully decorated, which celebrated the city and the culture. Our bathroom was across the hall from our room but very clean and very private.
There were many features of El Paradero that we were unable to take advantage of because of our one night stay however, the breakfast is not to be missed. It is simple but substantial and the staff we encounter at breakfast were very friendly and helpful.
Perhaps the best feature of El Paradero is it's proximity to downtown Santa Fe. We walked to dinner after arriving and we walked around the plaza before we left in the morning. El Paradero is comfortable, convenient, and wonderfully Santa Fe!

Sue went the extra mile to make our 30th wedding anniversary very special during our 2 night stay. Our room was beautiful (love the colorful, SW folk art theme and throughout the Inn) and the breakfasts are also colorful and delicious. The flan at tea time the first day was amazing. The whole staff is welcoming and helpful and the Inn is within close walking distance of the main plaza. Looking forward to our next visit already!

Room Tip: The rooms upstairs do seem a little quieter.

Our family of 4 stayed for one night at El Paradero. The inn is beautiful and peaceful and located close to the central plaza in Santa Fe. We had a wonderful breakfast and, at tea time, the best lemon squares I have ever had.

I stayed for 3 nights and from the moment we arrived we felt welcomed. I stayed in the Pino suite and by far it was the best experience ever on a vacation. It was very cozy and comfortable and since it was detached, I didn't have to worry about my 4 year old disturbing others as he played which for me is the best blessing ever! Not quite sure if that would fly in the regular rooms, though. The. Breakfast. Was. Amazing. My toddler and I walked daily to the plaza which was about 4 - 5 blocks with ease. I fell in love with Santa Fe and plan on coming back every year. Thanks El Paradero.

Room Tip: For travelers with small children and infants - go with the suites. ;)

We had a wonderful stay at El Paradero for two nights; very impressed with the staff, the breakfast, the location and especially the room. Our room had a fireplace, tastefully adorned in southwest motif. We were welcomed upon our arrival and graciously told of all the amentites of the lodging. The first morning we had "killer" good blue corn pancakes, and delicious homemade organic granola. The second we enjoyed ham and cheese scones, fried eggs and hashbrowns. Each day at tea time we were offered chili chocolate brownies, fresh apple pie, scrumptous orange bundt cake with fresh strawberries, and spice cake. Coffee, tea, wifi internet, unlimited fireplace wood, great notebook with dining recommendations, clean rooms, close to downtown shops ~ absolutely perfect. Will return again!

Room Tip: Room number nine is at the back, very quiet, fireplace and had it own bathroom as some have a shared...

This is a return trip as I love these folks. As usual staff very friendly and helpful. Since I was wanting to do some new things they were able to send me to some very interesting places including the museum at Los Alamos - yep the place that helped end WWII.
Breakfast was wonderful, and I left full.
Hope I can return next year.

Santa Fe is spoiled with great places to stay and we've tried a handful over the years. We'd not stayed here before but after a weekend here with my wife and two young children (1 and 4) it will be our top choice to return to. The place is really character full, beautifully kept, breakfasts are delicious and the tea time cookies and cakes are an additional treat, and an opportunity to chat to other guests. Sue and her staff were very welcoming, great with the children and gave us some good recommendations (the Cowgirl BBQ on S Guadalupe is a 10 minute walk away and has a great kid's menu and a play area in the back). It's brilliantly located and anything you'd want to see or do downtown is easily walkable. An excellent choice.
