My wife and I stayed at El Paradero for one night on the first night of our 10 day trip throughout the Southwest. It was a delight. The breakfast was possibly the best we ate the whole trip through (and we stayed at 2 other bed and breakfasts). The staff was great, room was nice, and the location was a walk away from the plaza. I would recommend to anyone!
Four middle-aged women visited El Paradero in late September as part of our annual get-together. We rented the Ortiz and Pino suites so we had the entire little house. Worked out perfectly. We sat out in the patio area for hours, enjoying the air, drinking wine and catching up. Suites were terrific - beds were comfy and even the hide-a-beds got a high rating. We drank coffee in the sitting area in the morning and listened to rain on the tin roof at night. El Paradero is just about 3 blocks from the Plaza, an easy walk. Breakfasts were lovely and filling. Couldn't have been a better place for us. I give a big thumbs-up on this place.
I have stayed in many B & B's , both in the US and abroad. This was the best! Warm, friendly, and accomodating (they even had a dog as a guest!). Breakfasts were great - all homemade and different each day. Afternoon tea was an unexpected delight.
They were right about the great breakfasts! The room was clean. The staff was very friendly. We had a great time. Wouldn't walk back from downtown after dark, but it's an easy walk during the daylight.
This is a relaxing, charming, warm, and friendly place to stay. I really enjoyed not having a TV in my room (in any room, actually), although there is a TV in the living area/common area. Tea hour (4-5:30) and breakfast (7:30-9) provided a chance to meet the other guests, to get to know some new people, and to exchange travel advice. If you want a relaxing, NM-style comfortable getaway, this is the place for you!
We enjoyed a great stay at the El Paradero Bed and Breakfast Inn. Breakfast was good, rooms were clean, staff was helpful.
