“LOVED IT! WILL RETURN!”
Reviewed April 26, 2011

I highly recommend! Very comfortable rooms filled with all the right decor for a complete Santa Fe experience. Location was top notch; quiet but just a few blocks from town square. A hot, homecooked breakfast was served each morning including egg casserole, hot muffins, fresh fruit, orange juice and coffee. The staff was very friendly and provided a great deal of historical knowledge.

For my first visit to Santa Fe, the Adobe Abode was perfect! It was close enough to walk everywhere I needed to. My room was quiet, cozy, and colorful. There was no t.v. in the room, but I did not miss it at all. It made it that much more quiet and relaxing. The linens were the softest I've ever had, and the breakfasts were amazing. Loved it!!

Room Tip: The O'Keeffe room was quiet, cozy, cheery.

We have stayed here at least 4 times, and have stayed at other B+B's in SF as well.
Whats not to like. Great Breakfast, Great Conversation at Breakfast (Its a B+B, not a Hotel), great proximity to the Plaza, no Parking FEE, cheaper then a comparable hotel.
Each room is a little different and special. Find one that fits your needs.
Dont miss this Gem.

I'd read the other reviews, and chanced it. So glad we did. This was a wonderfully laid back place full of funky decoration and bit n bobs. We stayed in 'Cactus', had a great shower room, no AC, just a cooler-type fan but that was OK for us even in August. This isn't La Fonda etc but the feel was fantastic. Breakfasts were great too, and our host at that time was Nellie - a wonderful woman with whom we made a great connection. Yes, the outside is dusty, the rooms a bit creaky, but the ambience (and the location!) makes up for everything. If you like super efficiency don't go. If you like laid back warmth, don't miss!!

No host, non resident owner/manager/staff. Self check-in means keys to B&B's front door and indivual rooms are found in envelops (with your name written on the outside) located in a mail box attached to the front door...available to anyone aware of this rather unsafe practice. You are given 2 phone numbers to call in case of an emergency...made several calls to both numbers but unable to contact owner/manager...and no answer at a third number given my owner's wife. Room security lock was loose and inoperable. Bathroom light did not work. Sheets and pillow cases were clean, but worn. Blanket and bedspread did not look clean. Mattress and bed spring like no other found at B&B's we have stayed at. Common area smelled dusty and musty. Dark, ulit off street parking. Our worst B&B experience. One positive: good location...near Old Town, Santa Fe.

Hi! Just a quick response: we have changed the check in procedure (yes, still a self check-in), to a code operated system on the front door. I think plenty of other reviews can attest that the property is clean and well maintained, although, like any historic property, always a few nits being taken care of, and we do try ton respond quickly to guest complaints. Thanks! -andy

This convenient and charming B&B is so close to everything. You never have to move your car. Unfortunately, it is not a hosted B&B. You never see a soul until 8:30 in the morning for breakfast. The best breakfast ever though! Una does a fantastic job! Too bad she is not there when you arrive. (Self check in at the front door) It would be great if the kitchen was open too during your stay with water/juice/soda or a little snack for the evening. A little bit more of a welcome and hospitality is greatly needed to add to the charm of this B&B.

I've become a repeat customer. I stayed here in October 2009 and enjoyed the comfort and quiet of one of the annex rooms, which are more private than the rooms in the main house. So I came back again with a friend in April 2010 and will return again in September 2010. The annex rooms with kiva fireplaces are cozy and quiet and you can't beat the location - 10 minute walk to the plaza in a quiet and safe neighborhood.
