Quality ingredients used, very little excess oil, no lard or MSG, light sauces. Especially fine brown rice as alternative to standard white.....gracious service, the owner Donald, hovering nearby to ensure all is to the customer's satisfaction.

My wife and I have revisited there five times since he opened...and never been disappointed.

We ate dinner here on Friday night recently. The owner, Donald, was very cordial on the phone inviting us to come over when I called to see how late they were open. Relatively new, it's a great spot for Asian Cuisine. Wonderful, attentive service and a nice makeover from the restaurant that was here before.
We started with the Sizzling rice soup for two (at $5.95 was a bargain). Really tasty and had leftovers to take home.
We then shared the Vegetarian szechuan garlic stye dish for $9.95 and this was not too spicy but extremely flavorful. The soybean meat looked like chicken, tasted like chicken. Excellent!
We also shared the Sizzling yummy tofu for $10.95. Tofu cut in large triangles seemed steamed in the middle and crispy on the outside with a sweet sauce. Was so good and served on a hot plate at table side.
We had plenty left over for lunch the next day. Will definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for good, affordable asian in Santa Fe.
They have lunch specials, too.

Yummy Cafe is new, and wonderful ... the best Chinese restaurant in town (and that includes Chow's). The food is very fresh, and freshly prepared. We were there on a Wednesday evening. We had vegetarian fried rice, and cashew chicken, and curry sauce on the side (you can see they're accomodating), and herbal raspberry iced tea. I couldn't recommend this more highly for people who enjoy authentic Chinese and Asian food.
