La Boca has the feel of a lively European wine bar, featuring an extensive selection of carefully chosen Mediterranean and South American wines. Knowledgeable and animated staff graciously guide customers to the perfect wine to complement their meals. La Boca also prides itself on being an ambassador of Spanish sherry culture, transporting its guests to Cadiz in the crisp cool flavors of Fino, or the deep fig-essence of a Pedro Ximenez. Full to capacity almost every night since its opening, La Boca has been a hit with both locals and the world travelers that visit Santa Fe. La Boca has earned numerous awards both local and national, including the Santa Fe Reporter’s “Restaurant of the Year,” and the International Wine and Food Society’s “Award of Excellence.”

“Delightful tapas, paella and live music”

We can't wait to return. The beet salad with goat cheese was fabulous. Sangria was great, but that is easier to make.
I loved the paella. Thank goodness it was not too garlicy. The chorizo in the paella was the best I have have ever tasted.
Service was excellent, which added to the experience. It was prompt, but never rushed.

“Awesome meal, hectic atmosphere”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 16, 2013

My boyfriend and I each ordered the 3-course tasting menu, where the chef prepares whatever he wants, and we were able to request that we each received different meals so that we would be able to try more dishes. Each plate was complex and fantastic, and not something that was found on the regular menu. It was a pleasure to see what would show up next.

Our waitress was very knowledgeable. Even though the restaurant was packed, she still handled things well.

The food was too good to subtract a star, but the atmosphere was really noisy and the tables were incredibly close together. Servers had to weave between the small spaces, so this was by no means a relaxing or intimate dining experience. As long as you expect this going in, you should be okay.

We started going to this restaurant when it first opened and have not been disappointed. The food is always wonderful and the restaurant although small is quaint and fun.

“A great find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

My wife and I were shopping just off from the plaza area and found this great little Spanish restaurant. The food was excellent and they had a very good selection of wine. We will go back to this restaurant every time we go to Santa Fe. Everything was just wonderful.

Lunched in this casual atmosphere restaurant. Tapas appetizers & flank steak were excellent. Service was friendly & attentive.
