“Delicious!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Wonderfully cooked small plates (especially the grilled artichokes) accompanied by the flight of sherries. A popular small place where you really must show up on time for your reservation...but you'll be glad you did! We came back for lunch a few days later and found it equally enjoyable.

“Energetic Restaurant”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 22, 2013

Dinner at La Boca May 21. Reservations for a party of 6 and were seated on time. Menu is a bit difficult to navigate unless one is familiar with tapas menus. The server was helpful, (perhaps not happy), explaining the idea of shared dishes. All dishes we ordered arrived in a timely manner and were well prepared with quality ingredients. La Boca has an excellent wine list, both by the bottle and by the glass. This is not the type of restaurant where one goes for a quiet and intimate dinner. The room is small, tables are close, and the chatter and clatter reaches high levels. That being said, the quality, preparation, and presentation of the various dishes was top notch. Overall, an excellent restaurant if you like Spanish cuisine and enjoy an energetic dining experience.

“Great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 21, 2013

Besides yummy tapas, the dessert is to die for! Sponge cake topped with crème fraiche and vanilla essence, surrounded by marinated sour cherries! There were 6 of us, and we had the most wonderful evening in this casual, intimate bistro-type restaurant. The service was very attentive and we enjoyed meeting the executive chef who spent time chatting with us. Be sure to make a reservation!

“OVErated!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 13, 2013

Thanks to Tripadvisor and reviews from the Santa Fe newspaper we've been able to eat at some amazing places here (Cafe Jambo, La Cocina de Dona Clara, Mucho Gusto, Clafoutis, Kakawa Chocolate House).
Sadly, this was not one of them.
We went during happy hour and the staff and food seemed less than happy. Our waitress was more interested in sharing her life story with the couple a few tables away then in serving us. The menu did not match what they had online. What there was, was pretty mediocre. And the music was Cuba/Caribbean, not Spanish. (Now I'm really being picky, but the place put me in that kind of mood.)
Maybe if we had gone during lunch or dinner our experience would have been better. But we didn't. And now we won't.
